Wouw, sweet. I would love to see them on our roads, but being a small country, before all trailers are hooked, cabin is already on delivery spot lol. Some serious driving skills, respect.
@FULLNOISET908 They only had one two up team (they subcontracted Australia Post run melb-perth had to run non stop) rest of the fleet was single drivers i know cause hubby used to do two up with them he drove for them for a year up till june this yr...... They went bust this year sold everything off at a auction...... They never paid my hubbies super and holiday money and now we will never see it and many other drivers that worked for them.....
i think this track can stopping fast, because every wheel is breaking, like at the train!!! and thi other think u shouldnt go near this track when it turning. its easy to do, not?:)=
no actually most accidents are caused because of people in the small cars that don't respect a fucking semi and dart out in front of it, or don't understand the concept that you can't stop 80,000 pounds on a dime, you fucking moron.
you must be one of them idiot car drivers that has no idea. pull out in front of a truck or try to overtake one on a corner and get run over by a trailer. its always ' truck hits car' all over the news not 'car driver is an idiot'.
what I was trying to say is that any little mistake near such a colossus will get a car driver killed without hope. If the traffic would be populated by day only by small cars there wouldn't be so many deaths.. 2 cars hitting each other wont always bring death to on of the drivers.
but any little mistake near one of these is not the truck drivers fault. the car driver is putting the truck driver at risk because he will most likely try to avoid the collision and run off the road or something. car drivers should just think a bit. and anyway there are alot more people killed in single car crashes hitting trees ect than being run over by these so called truckies that as you say are invinsible and dont care and cause all the deaths on the roads.
You can replace 1 road train with 100 small delivery cars. But you'll have to pay for all that small cars and 99 extra drivers hired. Ah and You'd need something like 5-10x more fuel for them.
yes, its getting worse in the uk, brown our prime minister wasn't elected by anybody, prestons of potto a yorkshire haulage company with 250 trucks has just gone banraup today, owing to the fuel prices. that is the fourth yorkshire haulage company in 6 weeks to go and over a 1000 trucks are off the road due to the fuel prices. are you happy mr brown
Love these old trucks. Split window, cabin climbing sideways, small doors, noise, unsynch gearboxes, a lot of crome to make up for the lack of finess...
gidday killebideath, that truck was made in 2007,its a K104B Aerodyne,(Kenworth)made in Bayswater Victoria, state of the art drive train as well! Cheers mate.
hahaha, ah well mate there is always 1 person ahead of you in life isnt there hahaha
anyway i still love ur truck and i love to see your photos of your trucks and other trucks across the nullarbor, if you have any pics could u please email me them??
@kenworthaus Just curious; how much weight would a set - up like that be allowed to haul on public roads? We have logging trucks here in Canada that are capable of hauling 150 tonnes on public roads, but only in specific areas
Yeah, it's amazing where roadtrains and "Bs" can go sometimes. But it's amazing how much trouble you can get into when they don't go where you thought they would!
Tom i reckon its you i see riding around on your push bike with a backpack on looking for trucks. Now i worked with you or your brother ar Adelaide council. You did work experience there back in 2001.
Across the road from Toll IPEC/ NQX Freight System big depot near the Salisbury Hwy bridge the yard is just across the road from Autotrans Express front office and the yard is owned by Whiteline Transport but they rent it out to other companys to use and hook up btriples and ab triples and KJM Contractors hook up double roadtrains

Whats the length on those trailers?
Bacardi1862 2 years ago
45 foot each it think, though the lead B trailers, (first and second) have a shorter body due to a trailer coupling over the wheelset
