Its been yrs since we lost Freddie but Istill cant believe its been as many yrs as it has been. It feels like only yesterday since that golden crystalic voice was silenced forever WE MISS U FREDDIE!
@ayanni07 have you checked out his new work with band of joy. they have an hour concert, look under artist den.com. let me know what you think! they even throw in a couple of zep surprises. i got to see led zep when i was 16, and i have never been the same!! i even have a few posters up.
If you don't like Robert Plant or Axl Rose as the lead singer or think metallica is disgracing Queen, listen to some of Extreme's stuff at the concert. They absolutely nailed it and don't get enough credit. I personally loved the whole concert. Brian May and Slash rip but I would love to have seen Nuno Bettencourt up there with them. I think Nuno plays Brian May better than Brian May plays Brian May lol. RIP Mercury.
"Crazy little thing called love" is one of the best performances by a non-Queen member on this concert I've seen. I dont even really know much about these other people, but that blonde frizzy guy singing it did great!
@QueenBeatlesWings Seriously? I can ALMOST understand you not knowing who Robert Plant is, but not reading the description is just stupid. It clearly says who sings in this video. UGH...
i remeber at the concert something odd happened with Brians guitarsounds during stone cold crazy and suddenly wanished, this is somewhat 'manipulated'. And also, Innuendo was a piece of shit by robert plant...
This concert is an insult to Freddy. For god's sake when has Mercury's music been that hard? He never liked smashing to instruments. When has he screamed like a crazy?
@bensimps123 I agree Plant may have influence many singers but I don't believe he was one of the best. I mean the start to crazy little thing called love was "wtf" and then he forgot lyrics to innuendo. He asked that it be excluded from the DVD
@MrdacPrdeli Yeah I did notice but the point im making is that the sound goes during one of Brian's awesome guitar solos and during a guitar solo the guitar is all that matters! You make a good point all the same.
He retired, dude. Too bad too. I think he was one of the most underrated bassists out there. Probably living out a nice life in London. All the best to him.
@MutohFan but also wrote three of queens biggest hits................not bad (you're my best friend, i want to break free, another one bites the dust). everyone wrote a hit song....
It's great that Queen is now playing with Paul Rogers but seeing this video with John Deacon playing bass really makes you aware of the huge difference there is with the TOTAL Queen sound with and without John no matter who is singing. John's approach to playing bass made his over all sound as unique as Freddie's voice. I really hope some day John will consider working with Queen again. He is sorely missed and he's not even dead!
shut up, Robert is one of the best rock singers ever, and his style to sing is improvisated.
After the "Thank You" intro it takes a bit for Robert to find his groove on "Crazy Little Thing Called Love" but once he does...wow! He really turns it around and makes it his own.
@wearethearchers Yes, I know that, that's why Innuendo isn't in the DVD of this concert, but it's not because of his voice, is because he didn't remember the lyrics in that song.
Way before this concert I new of Metalica's cover of this song from Elektra's Rubaiyat album from 1990, so when I knew the concert was coming I was looking forward to this performance.
