  • This looks so FUN!!!!!! I was told i couldnt do it cuz im 17. -___-

  • If only the REBs had m-16's & won the war...... Obama would be mowing grass at the white house instead of spending billions of tax dollars on stupid shit.

  • @smelzodeath

If the rebs had M16's the feds had cruise missiles. ;)

  • The 76th O.V.I Regiment will probably be there this year for the 150th we are discussing it!

  • @ILAUGHSYOULAUGHS this year is the 148th

  • I was there w/the 66th Ohio, Vincents Bde. We were at the far left of The Union Line!

I agree, it was :Awesome!" This was my 1st National Event!

Thanks to all the volunteers and the Farmers who allowed us to re-enact on the fields!

  • Thanks for sharing/posting this video. Our unit (138th-PVI) made the structure that was set ablaze, it was a replica of the Evergreen cemetery arch. 2 stories high & about 100' long. The event coordinators felt it was too hard to store (made of 2" x 2" and painted canvas) and elected to burn it. We were held in "reserve" for this battle segment and never got to see it. Thanks again for sharing!

  • man the 150th is going to be insane...

  • i tell ya im coming over from the uk to see this re-enactment or may even joina unit here to take part!!

  • im from sweden and is a reanactor in the american ciwil war. I would like to come and take part in the battle in 2013 150th i think it is right? But anyone from the US need people and who do I contact?

  • @Stromberg91

Most of the time you would be able to just 'fall in with' another unit. I'm sure most any unit would welcome you!

  • @NatelyHunnicutt cool man. We will probably come alot of ppl from sweden to join both sides=))

  • @Stromberg91

We'd be glad to have you. Have a great time when you do. The 150th sure will be memorable - there's something about Gettysburg that reminds you in your heart that you walk on hallowed ground.

  • of course it is! Im purposely going as Confederate with my friend Nate i wanna get my dad at the wall haha. Should be a blast.

  • Correct me please if I'm wrong- We southerners got treated like crap in my opinion. Typical Northern manners.

I hope they can get it straight for the 150th

  • ????

  • ????????

  • @naobrien77 What do you mean?

  • I was there I'm the adjutant for 1st Arkansas Infantry Battalion, Trans-Mississippi Brigade(Huckabees)I don't care if the 135th or 140th was better but everyone I went to was always AWESOME!!! 145th was AWESOME!!!

  • @golfdude252002 What are your responsibilities?

  • I remember sitting on the field waiting for the rebs to come at us, and me and most of the other guys got bored

  • Yeah, in my opinion, I think that the artillery was kinda long, and boring after a while..

  • It was far too long. We sat for like 45 minutes at least before we got to go. (we were last out 12th VA)

  • @Smitheeboy94 I was at the 135th, just a kid though, and I fell asleep.

Actually, most of the Vermonters at the original battle fell asleep during the artillery barrage.

  • @Smitheeboy94 yeah...we can along that road and across that creek for at least 30 min. But once we got there, we ya'll boys a good fight i do believe.

    Pvt., Infantry, Tiger Rifles.

  • i made it to the wall this year! Woot! I'll see everyone at the 150th! 45th Alabama, Armistead's Brigade this year. We portrayed the 53rd Virginia which was in Armistead's Brigade and a guy in our unit had an ancestor there in the 53rd. Very poignant for him. He even paid to have a 53rd VA Flag that we carried to the wall.

  • 4th OVI here! Great event, and I'm glad to see you managed to post some footage of it! I understood the infantry numbers to be 6000 USA and 7000 CSA. Again, great footage.

  • Good Job

    Frank

  • Try closer to 8,000 Confederates at this re-enactment, with close to 6,000 union at this event. Not as big as the 135th by any means, but honestly, I had more fun at this one for some reason! 8th OVI (National Regiment), we went out with and helped set the house on fire! 135th was great to see the numbers, imagine the 150th?!! But this event was great as well!!

  • wow there were that many? I loved seeing the house burst into flames, that was awesome. If it was up to us, the Confederates would have won pickett's charge, damn yanks lol. The weather was perfect, I even liked how it rained when we all lined up to go to the field, kept us all cool.

    CS Marines all day!!

  • who are u

  • I wasn't in the reenactment. If thats what you were wondering.

  • was with the 7th OVI (USV)- OHIO OHIO OHIO OHIO!!!!!

  • you all were on our company street

  • I was at this even and the 135th 10 years ago as a reenactor. The 135th Gettysburg Reenactment was much better. There were at least double the amount of Confederate troops at that event. the artillery was much better coordinated also.

  • Thanks for posting. My boyfriend was there as a reenactor with the 33rd Virginia. I didn't get to go and seeing Pickett's charge was the one battle I was sad to miss!

  • I think the 33rd Virginia, or at least some people from it fell in with us at gettysburg! We were the 7th tennessee co. a. wow.

  • Yes, the 33rd Virginia was there. The man that my boyfriend portrays is Amos moore, he was wounded and captured at Gettysburg

  • Actually its the not the most cannons used since the war.. We had more at the 135th Anniversary.

  • Oh ok, well that's what the announcer said lol :)

  • yea dont listen to the announcers cuz they're usually full of crap and take away the "buzz" of being a reeacter haha and there we're 7000 confederates and 6000 union a this reenactment 5th Ohio Co. H all the way HUZZAH!

  • Yeah, I know. I am the Captain of the 14th that was there, and I don't know if you heard us Screaming 14th! 14th! 14th! I got all my boys yelling that! When the announcer called my "Red Legged Devils" the 84th NY! Good Video man!

  • im in the 84th NY

  • oooh please don't say 84th NY. The original men HATED that designation. McDowell stepped up to bat for the men of the 14th When the state of NY tried screwing them. his words "You were baptized by fire as the 14th Brooklyn and the 14th Brooklyn you shall stay!" Lincoln shortly after that kept the 14th Brooklyn on federal records, as the 14th Brooklyn. What company are you with?
