World peace is entirely possible. If only people would realize that there are more of us than them. The governments don't want peace because war and conflict equals profit. If the people said, "No more" and really meant it...it would end. The powers that be are afraid of us, show them that we're not afraid of them. Not with violence, but with love. Al Gore made global warming a popular issue and now everything is going green. What could you do with an abundance of love ?
Just because something is committed in the name of God by genuine believers doesn't mean that God is in support of them. God is everything that is good and righteous. So IMO Evil is the absence of God.

@Chainedflesh God is good. Through his Son, he teaches love, compassion and respect for life. In recognizing and respecting the beauty of our differences, that IS God's way. Love thy neighbor
@MsPursuitofhapiness I'm not dissing god. I am saying that some people murder in the name of god. They may have god in their hearts, but their minds are twisted.
I know this happened a while ago, but I'd like to say that, as an Atheist toward the Christian God, I have never done anything truly evil. Yes, I've lied and stolen and said cruel things to others, but what person hasn't? To say I'm evil without God, that is not right. Love thy neighbor, don't call them evil because they don't have the same views as you.
separation due to color and nationality will bring us all down, TOGETHER as one we will stand a fighting chance in the time to come. Be safe my brother!
There will never be peace on earth or even among humans. not to be a hater or anything but it is impossible there will always be bad unless you get rid of it. PEACE COMES OUT OF VIOLENCE. we learn good from the bad things. how do you think we get life lessons, we screwed up once so itll never happen again. just my input on this
I understand what you are saying and for the most part I agree.
However, we do not always need to experience bad to know what is bad. I have never experienced falling from a cliffsidee, but I know it is a horrible thing.
My point with this that we will not have a peaceful earth until we have peaceful people.
Peace is about more than fighting or not fighting. Peace is about serenity of (for lack of a better term) soul.
I don't believe there has ever been peace on earth, maybe in the days of Adam and Eve, before the snake but that's it. I don't believe this planet was built for peace, there are so many devils on this planet, and never enough angels....
War is a byproduct of fear. I firmly believe that all of humanity loves peace but despises war, and the reason war exists is because we are afraid of other peoples attacking us first.
Case and point: the US invaded Iraq because there was a fear of being attacked first. When we acknowledge this realization humanity can take its first steps towards losing the capability of waging premptive war.
"When the power of love overcomes the loves of power, the world will know peace."
For the most part I agree with you, however there are reasons for war that occur regularly. Often it is over resources. Or even political control. We see a lot of this going on in Africa today.
War is a very complex thing that requires complex solutions, and more than anything else preventative measures.
After watching this video, I realized that there is so much pain and suffering in the world, and yet there is so much joy and happiness.. Could it be that both exist to define each other? How can we know what suffering is without happiness. How can we know what happiness is without suffering?
I think Obama is going to make a change for the better with his influence, but could that mean that the those who wish to harm will resist even more?
Pain and joy are two necessary components of life, and are needed to define one another. However, pain, by its very nature is more powerful than joy. That is why for every bit of pain experienced we need to create ten moments of joy to recover. Pain happens naturally in each life, so as humans we should do what we can to eliminate the unecessary pain and strive to keep joy flourishing.
I don't think anyone seeks to be harmful, but many are easily seduced by harm's power.
In America and most of the developed world our food problem is that we have too much of it, and that iit is making us fat.
Meanwhile people elsewhere are starving to death. It's because moany charities suport themselves first, instead of their claimed beneficiaries.
We need to do more than send food. They need tolls and equipment for large scale agriculture, technology to make the soil more hospitable, real relief distribution programs.
But there is so much more that can be done. Think about it. How many people vacation in Disneyland? What if they used that vacation and money to go to Africa and help dig wells or helped distribute medicines? What if they helped build a school? What could we do if we change our indulgant pleasures into helping others? Wouldn't those memories mean more than Disneyland?
As long as they exist with the mentality that they have now, it is inevitable.
But we are on the verge of a new age. We have the ability to communicate with anyone, at anytime. Random strangers can become friends in minutes. I believe that the internet will create a unified world culture, and that will be one step closer to eliminating many of the problems we see today.
"Human being of the earth, give yourself the love you deserve and love your fellow-men as well as all other forms of life, honour the earth as your home and respect the ground and soil on which you stand and walk. Always be yourself, remember your humanness and never forget your name, your essence, your virtues and also your honour and dignity."
when a human being will learn how to overcome his or her own fears and struggle beyond the effect of the pain, then the human being will realize that there is nothing that can be done without...happiness. And that is the reason behind leaving in this material world. Let the spirt rule and not the matter. A war can only take care of the matter. We need to take care of the spirit so that the war will never be important to our matter.
To get Peace, we have to love all. How many people do you know who love ALL? Without prejudice? Without hatred? At the risk of sounding Religious, Find YourSelf. It is there. Your Soul knows more than any book ever written. It speaks to you through your emotions. We all have it. It is the One thing that binds us ALL.
I pray for peace. I hope for the best for everyone and their families. But I prepare for war.
Do your part to prove me the cynic. Do your part to make peace with your neighbors and build. Do your part to take back your governments. Do your part to keep the bankers from impoverishing us all.
Your attitude is part of the problem. Instead of talking out our problems you would rather blow the other person up. You sir need to change your way of thinking if you want peace. Right now your actions only generate more conflict.
I would rather get rid of the problem once and for all. And While I don't rule out the use of force, as it is sometimes a sad necessity, I think it is a an option that must be used only when all other options are exhausted.
For instance: I am not opposed to what we did in Afghanistan with Al Qeda or in removing Saddam from power. Botht needed to be done. I did have a problem with the fact that we did so little to gather international and internal support before we acted.
We see human rights violations, dictatorships, and threats consantly popping up, and they need to be dealt with. I think that too often we use the iron glove instead of the velvet.
I don't know if you have read "The Art Of War" by Tsun Tsu, but he speaks of winning a war with an enemy by turning the enemy into an ally. The best way to do this is to show that both sides have a common external threat. Our collective external threat is our fear of things that we don't understand.
I can understand your reasoning and i do agree with you but i just dont believe that the world we live in will ever reach peace. Youd have to either have 1 race or religion allies rule the world.
Nice vid but so naïve. Your vid points out we all cry... I've never seen a Muslim extremist cry. They strap kids, women and men into airplanes and fly them into buildings for Jesus sake. Anyway, like I said. Nice vid but very naïve.
The naivity is in disregarding the conditions that create extremists.
Socioeconomics, oppression and resentfulness can make a person retreat into something as comforting(to them)as an extremist ideology. They retreat into a belief that the next world will be a better place and they disregard their actions in this world for those that allow them to think they can obtain their paradise or get their revenge on those they think are oppressing them.
Care to explain how the majority of the 9/11 hijackers weren't poor? Most came from middle class and higher families. Some even went to various universities.
That is where the resentfulness aspect of my comment comes into play. They were young men who had already formed an opinion of resentfulness towards America. Their resentfulness was fostered by an extremist ideology until they were willing to murdder and die to murder.
edmurphyyt, your naive to believe any US Government official sheds a tear as we bomb helpless citizens, detain people without cause, and torture them with waterboarding and sleep deprivation.
Your view as well is naive. The path to peace is not about things being black and white. Black and white are just reference points. You have done the exact opposite of what a peaceseeker does. You have attempted to demonize a group, and in doing so have created the idea of an enemy in your own mind. Thinking like that makes you no different than those you accuse.
im sorry, the song is great, but the vid is depressing. thanks for posting it tho! we need to know what weve lost and what we have in comparison to the rest of the world. we are a fortunate country.
Yes we are a fortunate country. Even the poorest of us lives in opulance compared to the standard of living in other parts of the world.
That is part of the point of my video. There is a lot of sufferring in this world, and we have the power to help end it. It can start simply by opening lines of communication.
God Damn Why Should The U.S Always Feel Guilty I Havent Heard Of Another Country Giving To Poor Countries. Charity commercials: Please Give Money So we can take and not give to the people who need it. and its always the us never any other country. Have you ever heard China or Japan give to those countries?
You missed the part of my video that said it comes from every one of us... as in all of humanity. Not just Americans.
This is not about feeling guilty, it is about havy the strentgh to look at those who are "different" from us and seeing that those differences are false indicators that we create, that we are all responsible for each other.
Sorry i never knew europe gave a lot. guess thas my bad lol. but seriosly (i know i spelt it wrong) i never hear anything from outside our country (US) give to them. im glad to hear europe does though.
I would like to say that anyone, who wants to, can use this. But I no longer have the original file due to a computer crash. You may be able to save the file and translate it into wmv or other av format.
Great video, thank you for the upload.

I wouldn't say that. There have been many atrocities and evils commited in the name of god by genuine believers.
Evil is the absence of good. A harmful action that benefits no-one, or where the harm is selfish and highly disproportionate to the good it creates.

I would like to say that anyone, who wants to, can use this. But I no longer have the original file due to a computer crash. You may be able to save the file and translate it into wmv or other av format.
