You can get it by importing, but play it if your wii can play NTSC-J games because it is region locked. Plus, play if you don't care about the japanese language because that is the only language it has.

I'm not american but i fell in love with baseball when i first saw this game in US version! it's a very special game for me 2k sports really need to put this game in US market! I'll tell you that i'm thai so we're having a very small group of people plays baseball in thailand mostly locals who lives near the stadium. I'm was the one who plays baseball but because baseball was still a new sport in thailand so no wonder so small numbered ballplayers... I love baseball!

Most likely it is not releasing for the ps3. It is usually for the Wii and the PS2. But I might be wrong, 2k might decide to release it for different ports. In Japan, it is only release for the Wii and PS2.

Does anyone know if we have the option of turning off the pitch location cursor in this version? I'm not talking about the cursor to locate the pitch when you start pitching, but the one that shows the ball's arriving point as the ball travels to the catcher. I play the game with friends often, and it's too easy to cheat and tell if the ball is going to be out of the strike zone (i.e. a low curve or a high fastball would show up out of the strike zone as soon as the ball leaves the picher.).

I'll probably finally sell my mlb power pros 07 to get this one. 5 success modes, that's sick! Plus the many more add-ons plus the graphics are starting to look better as well. Most addicting game I've played in my life.

I agree, 2008 version is SO amazing and has tons of features, you can play that game for 100+ hours and still have fun at it.... And man, walk off home runs for the win are amazing!! But really rare, unless you're using all super star players....

I built my team from scratch, so we lost a lot of games, but when my guys finally built up some better stats, we made the playoffs!

There's so much great control in this games too.... Diving catches, climbing fences to rob home runs, etc etc...

True, 08 is good. But the 09 has a new success mode, I mean 5 different success mode, plus a MLB Life and the WBC. The 09 has more plus the stuff that it already has. What else is new is that you can play as a catcher, helping the pitcher by telling him what kind of pitch and where to pitch. MLB Power Pros 2009 is much much better.

Two things I found helpful:

- Use free time early and often to build up energy so you have more turns in a given week. This will pay dividends later.

- Since you only bat and don't field, concentrate only on contact, power, and trajectory at first.

I haven't played the game yet, but from the video, it seem like you can play five different success mode. It is just my guess, so I don't really know which one is the best, but it seem like all of it is fun.
