  • anybody else think its wierd that that they dont make dolls for pochotanas but they make dolls for the other princesses?

  • @ministoddard I had a Pocahontas doll when I was little.

  • I think the real reason they didn't include this song is becuase they knew they were making a sequal and this song would have made the sequal that much more screwed up. Even if she did wind up with Rolfe in real life.

  • im going to bypass the fact that pocahontas was like 12-14 and that she ended up with John Rolfe when listening to this song TT_TT

  • at first I was like, whaduhfuh?!?!

    then I read the description.

    oh.

  • I feel like the Disney movies that were based on history (Pocahontas, Anastasia, and Mulan) rather than fairy tales were more romantic. Only Pocahontas, Anastasia, and Mulan had romantic scenes like this. Cinderella, Snow White, and the others along those lines had that "Happily Ever After" kiss at the ending at the most.

And that was so sweet! I wish that she and Smith had ended up together in the movie.

  • @ChAnGm1nLUVSm3 Anastasia is not Disney btw...unless you're talking about Cinderella's ugly step sister...

  • @keiheartedlove Oh, oops! You're right. Thanks for that. =)

  • @ChAnGm1nLUVSm3 NP. A lot of people mess up with Anastasia. The way I remember it is that Disney's Anastasia is Cinderella's step sister...lol

  • Disney gave me unrealistic expectations of love.

  • *Before Watching this, reading top comments* Man.. This probably aint that bad >__> females..

*Starts to watch it* Ohk..ohk..sorta emotional..

*They start rubbin foreheads and chiz* O...M...G TT^TT

  • Oh my .. I just started crying. Pocahontas' definitely one of the best Disney of all times !

  • how come they never sing in disney movies anymore?

  • >:

  • and why wasn't this put in the original film? too bad i don't have the 10th anniversary DVD cuz i'd watch this scene a million times over and never get tired of this song.

  • She doesn't look like a 12 year old.

  • I like to think that even if Pocahontas was young, she still loved John Smith, as he loved her. I mean, age wasn't that big of a factor in the 17th century if you think about it. <3

  • @zebrachica8 yes but she dumped him

  • @zebrachica8 I like the way you think. your right I guess he had written once that she was 10 but later he said she was 13 or 14. if thats the case then yes it could have happened.she didnt dump him if theres no proof they were really together, but she was told he was dead. When he went to see her in england she was already married to John Rolf. If they did love each other it would have been too late by then : (

  • Oh. My. God. One of the most beautiful songs and one of my all time favorites..SO glad they put it back into the movie :) -3

  • I wish I could have grown up on this song, even though the film is amazing, this would have put it over the edge.

  • and Pocahontas 2 KILLED THIS >:(

  • @dodelledod yes, but still i don't know why she dumped him

  • @dodelledod Lmfao!! Someone understands!!

  • Ah, Interracial romance. <3

  • " no matter what will happen to me I will be always with you FOREVER."

    this is true love... :D

  • That song might've been put back on the feature as a way for Disney to apologize for Pocahontas 2, because historical accuracy is like a fool who ruins a movie by telling us how it ends. Well I say there are some things we don't want to know, important things!

  • I am old to be crying to this movie..but i cant help it....My cup runeth over

  • I've seen good movies like this...can't think of any right now...

  • I don't care If John Rolfe is historically accurate. I've mentally bypassed that fact and imagine she and Smith ended up together <3

  • @HopelessDaydreamer55 Yes! Someone Agrees! (I think they wrote it down wrong in the historical records ;) )

  • @VeilBloodClaws haha oh they must have ;)

  • @HopelessDaydreamer55 Historically, Pocahontas was like 12 and a whore. Kidnapped.

  • @NekoUzumaki Yes, I know that historically, she was a child. But Disney clearly wasn't worried about following that story line in the beginning. So they didn't have to follow Rolfe's. This is historical fiction, so they could have done anything with it. In real life, I'm perfectly fine with the fact that she married Rolfe. But for the movie characters, I wanted her with Smith.

  • My teacher wanted us to watch the Disney version of Pocahontas in History class before we went into the real story of Pocahontas. I literally said, "What the fuck???" when this song came on. They didn't need a song here! The original movie is beautiful the way it is. They shouldn't have fucked with it :(

  • @ohshittkailaaa

Actually this song is gorgeous. And they only cut it out of the original version because during test audiences, the 5 and 6 year olds kept squirming during it. They only took it out to please the random kids they tested it on. Sooo, unless you're a little kid, I'm not sure why you you hated it so much..

PS.. wtf kinda teacher is playing disney movies in a classroom for historical purposes?? That's like playing the sitcomThe Big Bang Theory in science class..

  • @pepsicola819

    Everyone has opinions. I mean, the song's okay..but I don't know :/

Haha, my history teacher wanted us to see the differences between the true and false facts about Pocahontas, plus, it was a slow day, so he decided to play it(:

  • @ohshittkailaaa yeah I think I agree, I wrote a comment on here already saying it seem more melancholy and serious without the singing- oh well- I cant find the original clip now.

  • this is my fav song out of Disney song

lucky to buy the OST cassettes

It the last song in the album and I really love it

  • How have I NEVER heard of this song??!

  • @RoseGirl1192 It wasn't in the original.

  • FUCK THE SECOND MOVIE!

  • omg, i promised myself not to watch this, because i hate the second movie, it's helpless to watch this, because she dumped him, omg and now I am crying again!

  • @lovemaria15 Do you know the real story of Pocahontas? She married another guy but John was by her bed side when she died. I need to watch that doc again :)

  • @JoanaSerafina how did you know that? so john was by her bed side when she died?I am reading now her book with the real story.

  • lol didnt u guys notice that he has different color eyebrows lol blonde hair and brown eyebrows

  • Gah! >.< now i'm crying, damn it!

  • wow first time i hear/see this!!

  • i'm Still tryna find MY Pocahontas. One day.....

  • @colintrent I'm very sure you will, because I have finally found mine, and she's changed my whole life, and made me whole.

  • They should of left this song on the original i learnt how to play this on the piano an it would have been helpful to have this instead of the version I had. It would have made learning this song easier cause it is on the same key I used!! Awesome job!!

  • I was brought here from a video of the boston red sox...

  • Dear historical accuracy:

    Take a hike.

    Love, happythunder3.

  • why don't they sing this in finnish version ?!? >:(

  • I never knew that was mel mind blown !!!!

  • This just BLEW my mind!!!

  • it would've been perfect if they'd left this song in the original. this song is simply amazing and i feel so much emotion whenever i hear it. it makes me cry everytime i hear it:')

  • You know what I just realize all these years? It's the song that makes the movies. For example, my favorite Disney movie song is I won't say I'm in love, and Hercules is my favorite Disney movie. My second favorite song is Savages, and Pocohantas is my 2nd favorite movie. Both have have the best songs throughout the movie compare to others in my opinion. (Tarzan songs are good too). Didn't took me to realize this until I saw this video. Anyways, good video. ^^

  • i know that line "id rather die tomorrow than live a hundred years without knowing you" is such a cliche but i totally teared up watching this :'( aaaaaahh

  • Why couldn't disney have originally have kept this in the movie? Its perfect!

  • @o0RaimeyVids0o lol same here! I literally should be writing a report at this very moment that is due on monday hahaha

  • Gah! love this part. I think this song really makes their love connection even more meaningful. Can't really picture the movie without this song :')

  • Love the movie Pocahontas, its a true story, I think its so cool that Pocahontas has walked on this world in Virginia in USA year 1595-1617.

Love this song aswell, im sad it dident was in the film tho, it would made alot of people cry in the cinemas.

  • God, this song. -Sways-

  • Mel Gibson!!!!!!! singing !! wooooo

  • this is so beautiful! the scene fits in so smoothly!

  • This scene is just... ah. Nothing even needs to be said, it's so perfect.

  • playing for the 20th time...... and crying for the 20th time :(

Where did john smith go in the sequel?

  • Man i'm crying so hard.

  • I'm just watching this when she is my favorite princess in all times of Disney, and seeing them together is adorable

And im like here unfront of the computer screen like derp. / forever alone

  • crying b4 buffering :'s

  • pocohontas never had happy ending she died of small pox

  • i dare someone not to cry hearing this *eyes swell up* cause i can't

  • Omg... Don't cry.. don't cry... DAMMIT I'M CRYING TwT !

  • This singing is so out of character.

  • brb crying forever

    OTP

  • @Awkwardtunity John Rolfe is the man she married in real life.

  • John Ralfe is a LIE!!!!

  • @bananacow97 tru tru

  • Lol. Mel Gibson singing xD

  • his eyebrows don't match his hair. :P

  • uh i cried again! what a girl smh

  • notice that 3:42 sounds almost EXACTLY like the ending of "For Good" from Wicked? Funny thing is, the same guy wrote the music for both of them haha

  • but you can very obviously see the quality of the drawings going down as the song starts :/

  • How come I bust out laughing when John Smith started singing???? LMAO This is one of my favorite movies, but his voice being so deep, and then this singing voice >_<

It was definitely shocking, but I can't help but be drawn to it.

  • omg how could they of not played this in the movie???? this is like the 5th time ive watched it!!

  • Had no idea that Mel Gibson could sing. He's not bad at all.

  • john's face kind of reminds me of frollo xD

  • I knew I'd heard this before. They played it at the end of the movie and it was on the soundtrack.

  • i seriously was balling my eyes out when i heard this song

  • "I'd rather die tomorrow than live a hundred years without knowing you"

    AWW!!! *faints*

  • WHAT THE FUCK this scene(the parts where they sing) is not on my tape! (VHS tape). its in the end credits, but not in the actual movie. wtf...

  • @KateFantasizes I read somewhere that when this movie premiered, the kids got bored of this scene; although the older audience loved it, this movie was meant for the kids, so the scene was cut out.

  • @Mangoekaki thanks for filling me in :)

  • I can find this no where on iTunes, all there is is the end credit version of this song, which I don't like as much. Can someone help me?

  • well... I'm gonna go watch this movie and cry now.

  • i love the line " i rather die tomorrow than live a hundred years without knowing you" :'(

  • anybody wanna be my john smith? cause i'm indian =P lol

  • I love this song. Even that never happened in the real deal. But still it's nice to dream and it Disney, they just never should of made # 2 cuz that just killed it all for me.

  • This song makes the second movie even worse. It breaks my heart when he says "I'll always be with you"

  • I watched Pocahontas the other day and I was honestly expecting this scene to pop up! Darn, it should have been in the movie! It adds so much emotion..so beautiful <3

  • wow, ive never even seen this in the movie before! i guess it was cut out :(

  • @TheAscendingOne Oh it was there! :O I just watched it

  • @TheAscendingOne Did you watch it in theatres?

  • @AmazingAllete actually i have it on DVD. its the 1995 release

  • @TheAscendingOne And it's not there? I guess I bought a different version o-o

  • @AmazingAllete yeah probably ;)

  • @TheAscendingOne oh i guess it says in the beginning that it was added in the 2005 edition

  • XD I need to stop watching these~! I have work to do!

  • @o0RaimeyVids0o I'm so gald my fianls are over because I would just get on the computer for reasearch and end up watching Disney songs xD

  • She was only 12 when she first met John smith,he was also bad the fat dude was actully good.So she married the other John and they had a son, sadly she died.

  • I love this song 3

  • Why is it I don't remeber this part where he sings?

  • @butterfly11331 well, if you didn't see this version of the movie, and saw the original, that's probably why. Cause they added this scene in the 10th anniversary of the movie

  • I think this is probably the most romantic and realistic of all the love songs in disney, and their relationship develops the best. When I was younger I sadly admit I didn't really understand Pocahontas, but every time that I watch it, it becomes more and more beautiful. I hope Pocahontas can enlighten everyone as much as its enlightened me.

  • I wish they wouldn't've ruined the whole damn thing in the sequel.......why?!? why, DISNEY??

  • @prinilen Yeah, I hated Disney when I saw the sequel. That stupid movie ruined part of my childhood memories.

  • This is the most beautiful Disney movie to ever exist, i've been watching this movie since i'm like 4 years old, and i watch it VERY frequently, and i have cried my eyes out and sobbed each and every single time. There is no sequel for me, that wasn't a sequel it was a joke and i just completely ignore it. This is the end of this movie and it's what makes it so great and epic.

  • Omfg <3 I just sobbed my heart out into my pillow :(

  • oh mel gibson...what happened? -______-

  • i wish they never made a sequel john n poca. r perfect already..

  • Sequel? what squeal? there is NO sequel! Pocahontas and John Smith got married and had a happy family. THE END.

  • @1992csl LMAO..they really did make a Pocahontas 2. In real life though she went across seas, but then she died of a bad fever or something like that.

  • @sparrow5469 i know that. But in disney movie. she got with John smith - end of story.

  • @1992csl okay

  • @1992csl what about actual History?

  • @heeminhyman

history is a sad thing. I just like her with john smith better

  • @1992csl

I wish that was how it ended in real life

  • @1992csl well, yes there is a sequel, Pocahontas II: Journey to a New World, a 1998 1998 straight-to-video sequel to the 1995 Disney film Pocahontas. The film is inspired by true events in the life of Pocahontas which took place several years after her encounter with John Smith and the founders of Jamestown.. wikipedia :D

  • @Yushellia i know there is!!! its a joke!

but to me i isn't one. cuz im a pocahontasXjohnsmith fan

  • @1992csl sorry I don't if it's a joke, I'm so sorry.. well I think the sequel has ruined the first Pocahontas. john smith is hot anyway :P

  • @1992csl There is a sequel.. Pocohantas, journey to the new world..

  • @1992csl Umm, they didn't. She went to london and married another John-something (I can't remember his actual name.) But its is based on a true story...

  • @1992csl

    Ppl... IT.WAS.A.JOKE!!!!!!

I know there is a sequel and i know the history!

the comment was for the disney movie.

  • To whom it may concern:

They took this out of the movie because they tested the movie out on an audience, and the children got a little "squirmish" during this scene. Everyone working on the movie decided that it might've simply been too much, so they deleted it. Obviously, though, they were wrong, because we love it. It was readded to the movie once they came to the realization that it truly is an important and beautiful part of the story.

  • I hate the sequel.

  • WHY did this NOT make it into the movie?! TT ^TT

  • the Indians outside.

"What the hell are they doing in there??"

  • @AbbanEllihud

This made me legit bust out laughing in real life, haha.

  • @AbbanEllihud I read your comment before the song started so throughout it im tearing up and laughing at the same time cause i kept thinking of the guards.

  • I always thought John Smith was cute...and his voice. But now that I'm older: Mel Gibson's voice is sexy as hell

  • I started watching and I was wondering, "When the hell did this..*looks at description* OH!!!!!!!!!!! Why'd they cut this out?"

  • this song reminds me of how much i loved nd cared for my ex i still do... but it also reminds me of how beautiful love is even though everyone around you doesn't want you two together because of their jealousy and hatred

  • I don't understand.. Is this song in the 2005 movie release or the extras??

  • i have never seen the sequel xDDD

  • That is a very sad song!

  • Im going to pretend I never saw this...

  • I hate Pocahontas 2. ='(

  • this is the reason they have a John Smith doll at the disney store...but no John Rolfe..

  • i trule wish that the song was in the film it would have gave the filme a reason as to why Pocahontas was at grandmother willow when she was. love this song

  • Oh I love the top rated comments. XD ♥♥♥ Wish there was no sequel and Smith came back and they lived happily ever after. T__T

  • Why did they think it was better to NOT include this in the movie?!

  • They're voices dont mixed well

  • Ah, well that explains why I don't remember the song! I never saw the DVD release XD

  • That's it. I'm watching every cartoon Disney movie ever made.

  • Judy Kuhn - amazing!

  • I wish life was a disney movie, I want a John Smith.

  • Was this even in the first movie...?? I dont remember it.......

  • @BieberAndBraves It was the ending credits song.

  • This Song Always Makes Me Tear Up

  • everyday for the past five days i have been watching this movie and singing this song. i love it soooo much that i have to pretend there is no sequel :P

  • I was watching my original copy of this tonight. I got to this scene and just had to come here to watch this before I could continue the movie.

  • i mean why did she pick john rolfe? i mean normally i don't care, but if they were trying to make it historically accurate or something, why start then??? the whole thing wasn't historically accurate!

  • They never should've left this out of the original. And they never should've made the 2nd movie (or at least given it that kind of ending)

  • can't believe she leaves him in the sequel...smh.

  • This song makes me cry every time.

  • This song fills a gap I never knew existed!!!

  • This song always makes me cry!

  • I love this song, he should have ended up with pocahontas. This is the reason why I only watched the sequel ONCE! that movie just ruined all my dreams of smith and pocahontas reuniting

  • @xXBlackxPawsXx i know, pocahontas had more a connection with john smith. and john rolfe was FUGLY, i have t admit, i dont like the sequal at all, the little mermaid pulled it off, lion king, but i forget which other also pulled it off

  • @narutoEATsasuke Well in real life she was about 10 yrs old when she met John Smith, so... there's something Disney doesn't show you :P
