@MrFuckyoumannn I've seen this same comment by you on a few videos. You are only required to plug in Idaho when you are shooting ducks. Not upland birds.
I live in Weiser, so am quite familiar with this area - I've got to say, this is the best chukar hunting video I've seen. You've got to be on the ball to catch those fast fliers on camera!
you people that think that your going to go there next year will get to those rocky steep mountains and say hell no when you see them. trust me they are steep rocky but they have some dang good chukar hunting if you know where to go along brownlee.
What's wrong with hunting? If you think about it, it's even more humane than eating meat from the store. The animals aren't kept in constrictive pens all their life, and aren't injected with hormones and who knows what else. Hunting for your own food and eating harvested game is natural.
Now if your one of those folks who doesn't eat meat at all I dunno what to tell you other than God gave us the teeth of omnivores for a reason.
By the way, the vast majority (maybe over %80-%90) of the money that goes towards wildlife conservation comes from taxes on hunting and fishing licenses and equipment as well as donations from groups such as the NRA, Ducks Unlimited, Pheasants Forever, etc.
In fact, recreational hunters and fishermen are the ones who pushed for wildlife regulation and conservation in the early 1900's after seeing commercialized hunting / fishing wipe out almost all of our native game and fish.
Nevada had the same problem this year. Most of the birds were seasoned,we had a dry spring as well, that ruined the hatch. They do bounce back, seems like every three years there is a bumper hatch. The growth down here has been scary as well, lot of califonians invading.
not many birds this year guys, please stop putting the locations and names of area where birds are found in Idaho on the internet, there are too many people coming here as is.
Personally I don't think it's the visitors that are the problem. Idaho's population is exploding and that is the real drive behind more people hiking the chukar hills I hike. Plus, there is a serious danger of keeping everything "secret", loving it to death. Big development will build and build until someone says stop.
Also, I forgot. The birds are down this year because of a drought not hunting pressure. That would be a scary idea to let the anti's think that the hunting is the reason for the numbers being down. They'll bounce back.
Bird hunting is a wonderful sport but be sure that you wear the proper hearing protection while out hunting. I am 21 years old and recently lost some of my hearing while on a day long trip hunting willow ptarmigan. I now have moderate tinnitus accompanied by hyperacusis.
Your right I did more research and it differs state to state. Just keep hunting and passing on the tradition so we can keep it alive.

To abide by state law shotguns must be plugged so that the maximum capacity is three shells. At one point you shot four shells in a row.
MrFuckyoumannn 3 months ago
@MrFuckyoumannn
No such law in Idaho.

@MrFuckyoumannn its differ per state.....lots of states say upland game is plug out hunting

Hunting control. A bag of 2 or 3 partridge per day, and a few days.
