My Dad passed away in Dec.2003. At 6:00am I got the call from the nursing home saying he passed. As I was speeding down the highway in the middle of a snow storm I heard this song, I immediately started to cry as I listened to it. It is so odd that this was playing as I was going to see my Dad for the last time. I thank Train for this song as it means so much to me as well as others. <3 As I write this my 94yr.old Grandmother is not doing well and I will again remember the words to this song.
The chorus (0:50 mark, for example) sounds exactly like Mandy Moore's "Cry" to me. This comes on the radio at my workplace all the time, and it gets me every time. "IN PLACES NO ONE WILL FIND --- oh wait wrong song :("
I know for sure that she knew how much I loved her because I made sure to tell her at least once every day and still tell her once every day, how much I love her. I miss her more and more but listening to songs like this helps me to remember that she is here, will always be here and that, one day, I wll see her and hold her close in my arms again. I lost my Christine 4 1/2 months ago and I have to admit, I had barely heard of Train before then. I was hurting really bad and did a search for songs about love lost through death. It still hurts a lot and I know it will for a long time, but this amazing song has helped a lot. It has quickly climbed up my list of favorite songs and sits at #2 behind If Tomorrow Never Comes by Garth Brooks.

@YenYan18 One last thing, at night when we were in the gulf, IO or Pacific, I would go up onto the flight deck during DZ (darken ship), and lay back on the non-skid and the sky would be so black, and the stars so bright, and so many. The moon was even brighter, and I would imagine my wife was looking up at the same time and at that moment, I felt connected.

Reminds me of someone very special and dear to me that died March 1st, 2011. I was in love with him a long time ago, we danced in the kitchen as we cooked together. Sometimes one never gets over that one true love. I called him right before he called the ambulance, I hope he heard the love still in my voice that evening. He fell into a coma and died 11 days later. My heart still breaks. No one will ever see that side of me that he did

This summer, I began dating this boy. He was perfect- the prom king, played baseball, an all around nice guy. We were always best friends but never dated. Then, he asked me to give him a chance. i discovered this band completely by accident,it was about 3-4 years ago when i got my first Ipod (RIP Steve Jobs) and i asked my dad to find a song for me,and he downloaded an entire train album on my ipod,i started listening to their songs,my favorite being drops of jupiter and this,and im really glad my dad made that mistake,i seriously grew up with these songs <3
