I will admit that at least a few of these people thought it was all fake. Let's face it- Suicide live on webcam, it seems like someone is just trying to get attention. It SEEMS fake. But it wasn't. And even if it was- It certainly isn't something that we should entertain ourselves by watching. From what I know of suicide, and I know a lot... Unfortunately... It's not something people usually make so public. But... I would have tried... I wish I could have tried- Not just for him, but for many.

@markcarrickarea dont be a burden on others. get your things in order. make your will if you dont have one. dont leave debts for others. get everything together before you go. dont make a mess in the house for others to clean up..find a place alone where no one will find you or disturb you, etc. and so i started to do this...and after about a month of life insurance policies and organizing, etc...whatever it was that had me ready for suicide no longer existed in my life.

This young man wanted to die in company rather than alone. Thats why I think he wouldnt have wanted this any other way. So all people who viewed it, ensured he wasnt alone in his last moments. Also, he is always in everyones memory from now on. Alot of people die alone and are forgotten.

I was one of the few she had talked to just a day or two before she did this, she was talking about her son, wanting him back, but also speaking in a defeated tone about some things (like what that one psychiatrist labeled her.) I know this is nearly 2 years later but... wow. It amazes me that people would sit and WATCH a young man, with his ENTIRE life ahead of him, kill himself. Honestly, I wouldn't have known WHAT to do if I knew about it. But I certainly wouldn't sit there and watch him. I'm glad I've not been put into a situation like that. This young man wanted to die in company rather than alone. Thats why I think he wouldnt have wanted this any other way. So all people who viewed it, ensured he wasnt alone in his last moments. Also, he is always in everyones memory from now on. Alot of people die alone and are forgotten.

But if you make a search on "suicide" or "live suicide" (something like that) I reckon you'll get frequent results - though you may have to work your way through a ton of hoaxes before you get a genuine example.
Lots of people who commit suicide have no one to talk to (about it) so they turn to the Internet as a last resort ... to them it may be the last and only way to be heard.

Also, if you want to do something in such a situation, you better make sure it id what you think it is, because next time - if there is a next time, and there often is - police and others won't listen to you, and that's where things can get really ugly ... you sitting there, perhaps the only one who tried to prevent a mistaken death (since most suicides wouldn't be repeated given the chance), and you was unable to do so.

I know this is nearly 2 years later but... wow. It amazes me that people would sit and WATCH a young man, with his ENTIRE life ahead of him, kill himself. Honestly, I wouldn't have known WHAT to do if I knew about it. But I certainly wouldn't sit there and watch him. I'm glad I've not been put into a situation like that. I've never really been in a situation where I knew the person I was talking to was possibly going to commit suicide.

No one asside the suicidee knows if help was required, help was is and continues to be available, the 19 year old lad, tragic though this may be, made a choice. That has to be respected. What is egregious is the continued outpouring of sympathy whores seeking self angrandisement for adding exposure to an allready bloated behemoth of cthulian nightmare proportions. I just want to add that i did some research on this and the fact is that he was known to be an attention whore. He was known to say crazy things and make absurd claims. I think this kinda falls under the "crying wolf" story and people just acted accordingly. I highly doubt that people would have egged him on if they would have known the final outcome. It would have been highly unpopular to know that and egg him on.
