  • Anyone else notice that he is in the same pose as the "imminent Ned" meme?

  • *think

  • WALACHIA!!!!!!!! i thin that's how you spell it.

  • AWESOME DRAWING, I TOO AM A FAN

    OF Vlad Țepeș, Dracula

I too have admire what he has done & you tight

despert time for despret mesures agrees 100%

  • @VampireGoddes you realy have to fight for what you belive in w/ out a dought!!

  • Whoop whoop I'm Turkish

  • DOVAHKIIN. DRAGONBORN!

  • We Turks started that blood sucking legend because of the attacks he did at night like a ba

  • Love the drawing but the man was insane.. he ate his meals near the rotting corpses of the people he impaled on stakes because he 'liked the smell'

  • @imonyourfacewoot haters gonna hate

  • @imonyourfacewoot The Saxon and Hungarian chronicles would have you believe that he was insane. But to get a realistic sense of the man, look at the Wallachian and Russian chronicles as well. Vlad the Impaler was reminiscent of king Leonidas of Sparta. And should be regarded as a hero

  • @imonyourfacewoot That was one of the rumours if I remember correctly.

  • @TastyPie95 Yeah looking back at my comment it was pretty misinformed.

  • @imonyourfacewoot no problem,shit happens.

  • @imonyourfacewoot yeah? and meanwhile he was dining near rotting corpses the other europeans were looking with sadistic pleassure at public executions, burned women alive just because some cocksucking priest tought that they were withces etc. think about it...that was how peaople rolled in that time..and some of them are rolling like this even in the moder times..look at the period between 1900 and present day..world war I,holocaust, hiroshima & nagasaki. the killings americans do in middle east..

  • @Daos0289 that justifies it?

  • @imonyourfacewoot mate,,if he did not impaled 20.000 turks then many of his people would have been died and others would have become turkish slaves...walachia was outnumbered military by all its enemies..so vlad used the fear factor and night ambushes to even the scales....when its war..the best thing you can do is to make as less victims as possible..thats what he did..oh and btw he didnt murdered inocent ppl or children..he did not drank his enemies blood..those are fat lies

  • Could you draw Corey Taylor with Vol:3 Mask?

  • this one was really good

  • I want that for a Poster. *__*

  • The original Dragonborn?

  • I am from Romania it's Vlad the Impaler country and im like a hour and a half from his castle if i go whit the train.

  • One of these rumors you were talking about is that Vlad was said to taste the blood of his fallen enemies, as to gain their strength. Not because he was a haemophiliac, but because it was bad ass. :b

  • are you romanian ?:) I am and i like your drawings

  • @Lornext Then unsub and leave.

  • I feel for ya Zooc. I'm macedonian and we were about 5 centuries under the control of the Turks and when we asked for help a guess what we got . We got separated to Greece , Bulgaria and Serbia .

  • did a assignment on Vlad tepes in year 11 hes so cool

  • Assassins Creed 4 needs to have some element of this imo

  • @Disterric23 on the officeal assassins site it's a part "what do you want to see in the next assassins creed" ..... soooooo , you could try :=)

  • 0:05 I would stand back and be proud of what I just did.

  • Well. Now I know why my friend hates Hungarians! And I still think he's a crazy fucker myself, because he impaled people. That's just strange!

  • Vlad had to have the biggest balls, seriously.

  • I think this is a well needed history lesson.

  • lool im bulgarian too. gota say we didnt like turkey at that time either, to be honest i dont think anyone did. but vlad sounds pretty badass, more badass than when we thought he was a vampire

  • HAY VLAD BUDDY :D hows it goi-AHHH *impaled*

  • Zooc, next time could you draw the Character from the Skyrim Trailer?

If everybody wants it of course :)

  • is Vlad in magicka a refrence to him?

    u know "No vampir"?

  • @BluttiFlutti yes and we actually pronounce ''vampire'' vampir

  • @NoTrauma i know you say vampire in English but in magicka its vampir :D

  • @BluttiFlutti i meant we pronounce vampire in romanian vampir

  • @BluttiFlutti Yea, but in Romanian it's pronounced "Vampir" or "Vampeer"

  • zooc , vlad dracul was named like that because he had an insignia on his chest of something like a dragon / devil and people were saying "Look the one with the devil" , my history teacher told me , im romanian

  • @negoitagabi zooc too is from romania and u are so wrong how can u say that his name came from a insignia omg vlad dracul has name like that because

"His father was a member of the Order of the Dragon (Dracul) and Dracula means son of the Dragon to indicate his father's title within the Order of the Dragon"

they people saying "Look the one with the devil" because they didn't know that dracul means dragon you know (or don't and you just say something wrong)

  • Can you draw Alduin from skyrim?

  • So dracula isn't a vampire? No offense

  • @Feelslikeafish Dracula is a vampire....Vlad is not...The main influence for the character of dracula is a Hungarian countess named elizabeth bathory, research her a little, fun stuff. Biting chick's tits and bathing in virgins blood etc.

  • @DimebagHK first "Vampires are mythological or folkloric beings"

the main influence for dracula is Dracula Vlad or his father

And Elizabeth Bathory is considered the most infamous serial killer she kills 650 victims that most girls.

And some people say she bathing in the blood of virgins this become a legend don't really know if is true

  • @bladetrinitii Yeah, I know they are mythological, but nevertheless, Bathory had way more influences on modern vampires than Vlad did. Vlad impaled his victims, nothing else. Bathory drank blood etc. Tell me how Vlad influenced vampires more than Bathory.

  • @DimebagHK you are so wrong .... but if u don't want to understand ... is ok

and bathory don't drink the blood no where its say that :| (made up)

most people don't know about Bathory ...i find out about her about 2-3 years ago and i find out as she has a serial killer not as a vampire

and yes she is a good influence but only if you know about her

  • @bladetrinitii Well, I don't understand how vlad influenced vampires more. Explain?

  • i have that same brush :D

  • It's both sad and amazing how just picking out a random name from history for a book could end up veiling such an influential life. -_-

  • Thank you Zooc.

  • No way! I just gave a presentation on this guy. I found his life/period extremely fascinating

  • i like the idea of doing little history lessons about important figures of the past

and the outcome looks pretty neat too :)

  • You guys with Master Chief never get it, don't you...

  • Thanks for making these videos with such frequency! Always enjoy them and I have to say I always learn something. This was one of my favourites, really interesting to listen to and great to see something a little different on the drawing front.

  • Why not make it 7 sec longer?? :P

  • PLEASE! draw Master Chief! i always try, but cant do the armor! D:

  • glad your teaching us real history. not that twilight bullshit!!!

  • Hey the guy who founded the Odrer of the Drake was not only Hungarian but also Czech king! There were those husitic wars, but he still was "de lege" king of my country as well.

  • One thing i have heard about vlad is that he had a skin disease that made his skin pail wihte and very sensetive to sun light. Correct me if i am wrong. Anyway nice drawing as always

  • @Faril91 that's not true

  • you sould draw dovahkiin!!

  • When I was a teenager I had a great deal of interest about Vlad the Impaler. Sure, Bram Stoker's Dracula was in theaters, but I knew that Dracula was a real, historical figure & wanted to learn more about him. His methods may have been extreme by today's standards but they were damned effective.

  • good stuff zooc i never know about this stuff and its good to hear the real story

  • i thought vlad would take the people he hadnt killed (this is what i learned) and while they were being impaled he ate his food in front of them and would take part of there blood while they were dieing, i guess a lie?

  • I knew most of that suff and i think, that Vlad is a hero of the Christians. Btw, I am from Bulgaria and Vlad looks a little bit like our khan Krum, you can go and check him out in google. (He trinks wine from the skull of Emperator Nikifor from the Byzantine Empire)

Excuse me for the grammar mistakes, as I mentioned, I'm from Bulgaria.

  • Thanks for the history lesson.

    And you draw amazingly well.

  • Zoocdrawshistory!

  • Nice drawing again. Never even seen hands drawn this well.

  • Damnit i wanted more info about the bloodsucker rumor, this was interesting as fuck! :P

I relly cant understand how people can hate eachother for a war that took place ages ago...i mean rellly...

  • Im stupid.

  • you finde sir whoulde make a great history teacher :D

  • @Eldormen damn bro... dont you learn anything at school? xD...

  • @ImZyker actaly not much, I mostly teach the teachers in history class XD

  • @Eldormen xD...

  • give wow 'the impaler' title XD

  • I quite enjoy your history lessons zooc. I always appreciate hearing your thoughts on things.

  • This was a really cool video, I learnt a lot. Thanks Zooc!

  • how much do your drawings usually sell for Zooc?

  • Awesome drawing and interesting video, Zooc. Thought about doing more historical figures that you find impressive/admirable?

  • Been to romania 4 times now, last time I went to the "moviecastle" of dracula.. what a joke :) I can understand why my girlfriend (romanian) said there was no point in going there just a bunch of bullshit for american tourists..

  • Awesome drawing, Zooc!

  • The stories I heard growing up in California were the ones about him and the Turkish envoys, impaling them. I guess I have my father to thank for at least getting PART of the story right :)

  • That was a fantastic drawing Zooc, my favourite so far. I've always loved the Vlad Tepes story. Though I do have a question. I watched a doco that said he used diseased soldiers to spread sickness in Ottoman camps. Do you know if that is true or not? Either way though, it's bloody good tactical thinking.

  • great drawing, and i didnt really know anything about the real vlad so that was nice.

  • I got coins on assassins creed called vlad the impaler wondering who he was thanks

  • When will we see videos liek Zooc eats or Zooc does shopping?

  • thank you so much for the history lesson! it was great to listen to you tell us the stories of him while watching your draw!

  • Here in Turkey, we really dont give a shit about this guy. Which sucks because I never knew this story and it is good learn.

  • Ah man, i'm hungarian and i didn't even knew that ppl were hating on us that hard. Oh well life goes on.

By the way could you do a drawing of Ezio from Assassin's Creed?

  • History like this is very interesting. It shows how the winner of war gets to proclaim what is true. Racism is evil.

  • I love your drawing vids, I learn so much, and your drawings are insane!

  • you said how some romanians hate hungarians for screwing them over. i have to say its the same deal in bulgaria, alot of us hate the turks hor being assholes, killeng, raping and taking away our children and turning them into a army against us.

  • I would just like to mention richard the lionhearted. He coned inocent muslims in jaruzalem in to a holy place (not shure wich one) and slaughtered them all only for being muslim. People from the west like to demonize east european leaders and forget their leaders were/are just as bed or even worse. Vlad at least tried to save and straingthen his country, wich is more than i can say for Richard.

  • wow, this just shows why NOT to piss off people by killing their father.

  • nevermind, you just started talking about it.

  • omg best pic/story ever.... vlad was a total badass back in his day. i would so fist bump him

  • What about the whole drinking the blood of his enemies or was that also rumours spread by the saxons?

  • I wish you were my history teacher.. :D

  • Great drawing and thanks for the little story!

Zooc my man, you never disappoint

(I like the little tune in the end of your vids)

  • Vlad probably wasn't the 'Hitler of his time' like he was made out to be, but the guy had some strong sadistic tendencies.

As for the drawing: great job. This is probably the best face you've drawn so far, that I've seen.

  • Great piece of history. I'm glad you're teaching the world something about a not so known reagion of Europe. (I'm bulgarian by the way)

  • History is something that can never be interpreted to it's fullest accuracy ,a heroic figure to a nation can just as easily be a mentally disturbed visionary to historians and researchers from all nationalities.

While i agree that some serious propaganda and dirt slinging was done against Vlad at that time ,most famous of his supposed obsession of dining next to his impaled victims, there's also a lot of evidence to support the claims about his cruel impalement methods down to the last detail.

  • @ILoveRavenc yeah he was a sadistic mf but he wasn't the only one. Vlad borowed the impaling method from the turks alog whit some other methods like the cutting of the hands for the thiefs. He was just a scapegoat but torture was applied in all over the world.

  • dracula helped the 99%

  • This drawing is just sick good man.

  • Electric erasers? how do they work??

  • Draw Gustav Vasa because if you come here to Sweden, you might want to learn some of its history.

  • good job

  • Wait, why do you have "porn" music playing at the end? :p

    Also, interesting as always!

  • @KungKronberg i'm not sure, but i think its drum and bass

  • I really enjoyed it, thanks!

  • Thanks for the history lesson man. It's been so long, love history!

    Amazing drawing too!

  • Comment removed

  • @28SomethingSomething lol I don't think so xD

  • Good painting as always Zooc... more of this if i may put out a request draw like big historical character like Djingis Kahn, Adolf Hitler and stuff like that...

Thumbs up so that Zooc can read this people!!!! ^^

  • im sorry but it sounts like you say hungry not hungary :P

  • He impaled the Turks to psych them out and cause the army to shit themselves right?

  • in sfarsit cineva zice adevaru ma enervau toti strainii care tot zic ca Vlad Tepes era rau si chestii din astea.

  • well i was dead fucking wrong

  • i love history

  • this much i know about dracula he was a war lord he would impail people and eat in front of the boides and whin people came after him he put the shoes on his horse backwards and ran off idk iff they killed him

  • in america that isn't the story that we learn about Vlad Dracul... we learn that he impaled hundreds of innocent people up the butt with stakes because he thought it was entertaining... i'm confused as to if THAT is true or if i've been lied to...

  • @KennieFitz You've been lied to.

  • @ZoocDoesStuff There's a "fun" moment in history where, in order to wage psychological warfare on a superior army (i cant recall the origin of the army), he lined the trees at the edge of a forest with the heads of slain soldiers, and the sight was so unnerving it held off the opposing army from advancing.

  • @ZoocDoesStuff Isn't most of Americans lied to about.. most things?

  • @ZoocDoesStuff How do you know this is true, Zooc?

  • @Araclain he does his reserch lol....

  • @bowsicraft3 Where does he get his research? If i did my research, i could come up with a million different stories about Dracula. Hell, if i did "research" i could find a book or website saying that Hitler was the true incarnation of god. That isn't really good enough.

  • @Araclain then you are looking in the wrong places

  • @KennieFitz a true american...

  • @KennieFitz he was impaling only thiefs and such

  • @KennieFitz In America, we get lied to a lot about history, even our own history. Through generations we've become really good at hiding the truth from ourselves and our kids; there's a whole bunch of fucked up reasons this happens, but I digress. To have even a decent understanding of world history you'll have to go far beyond Wikipedia and a history text book, seek out multiple sources, look at things from every angle and always question what you read.

  • @KennieFitz

I live in america and I was taught what Zooc said.

  • @KennieFitz what school did you go to... dont lump america all together like that

  • @KennieFitz you have to understand that at the time, that region was pretty much raided periodically by at least three neighboring powerful nations that were conspiring against Wallachia and Moldavia, depending on their personal interest. now, I'm not saying he wasn't crazy or evil, just that maybe one needs to be that way to get revenge on the "mighty" and powerful.

and yes, it is said that he did not tolerate criminal behavior of any kind, regardless of whether if was a child or woman. death!

  • @KennieFitz Since they didn't even teach you how to use a capital a for America, I wouldn't take everything you learned there seriously;)

  • history lesson and a bad ass drawing. kickass! keep up the good work Zooc

  • you teach history lessons so much better than anyone else

  • hey zooc i got an idea how about you do a short 1-3 hour draw and either livestream it or post it on youtube like if you agree

  • can you please draw a dragon

  • i didnt watch the drawing i just listened(wired right)

  • I enjoyed this video very much, there is something very enthralling about it. It is probably because it's so clear that the story of Vlad is something important to you. On that note, sorry that the children of the interwebs like to shit on the things you hold dear. Love you man.

  • i say you should draw genghis khan because he was a very important person in history plus he took over almost all of asia

  • @ThatTinyCanadian asia not romania

  • This sucks! I am American and we have no bad-ass Famous guys like Vlad :(

Dammit Lincoln why couldn't you have been a robot

  • @masterfulmonkey97 Lincoln was a big man... he fought for the independance of afro americans... not all the Famous people need to be involved in wars... look at Hitler he wasnt a bad ass he was a psycho with a little to big brain... He's famous but not bad ass ^^

  • You should draw a werewolf from Skyrim.

  • @IIEMProductionsII awwww theres werewolfs in skyrim? you spoiled it for me haha

  • @thegreatninjaman That's not really a spoiler. Bethesda announced they were gonna be in the game far before it came out :P

  • all I know about my past ancestry is I have a handful of ancestors from around Romania, and that I have a fair bit of Celtic "blood" as well. My family lost a lot of the documents about where our family came from, on my fathers side it ends at wales and my mothers side it ends in ireland, but I went to a local place and saw my family had been in the Romanian area for a long period of time, though I forget if they were important or not.

  • The game 'Stronghold Legends' basically covers this story word to word (with some mythological critters thrown in!)

  • I think you should do more like this, it would be interesting to see which other historic people you admire. For the record most info regarding him came from fake letters & German leaflets so it should be taken with skepticism like everything. And killing women/children was not as "morally wrong" than killing anybody in the past. And most modern leaders kill women/children in wars? with bombs and such, Zooc said Vlad took extreme measures, which might include the impalement of innocent people

  • @ZoocDoesStuff when speeding up your drawings do you keep it at the same speed or do some bits go faster than others

  • I've read quite a few books on Vlad and watched hours of documentaries as well, and there are some flaws in this video. To start off with he did kill children, he impaled entire villages to ware off Ottoman Forces, he saw children as enemies who were not old enought to fight, he also did dine on blood, he used to dip chunks of bread into bowls of blood while dining and watching his guards impale people. But most of it was right and might finally help people understand who Vlad is :)

  • @MrPsychoblondie96 keep reading western propaganda

  • @MrPsychoblondie96 He is romanian-born just like me. I am pretty sure we know more about Tepes than you do LOL :) ... You've read western books with propaganda and legends. He did impale ottomans, thieves and criminals but he never impaled villages of innocent children and women. :)

  • Fuck this drawing looks awesome! Sweet storytelling as well.

You're getting better with each one

  • Can you draw blade ?

  • Very interesting! Your story about Dracula was like reading literature directly in youtube.. Now I know the REAL story about Dracula! Your drawing is just magical. Good luck and happy drawing, Zooc! :-)

  • btw twilight is full of cock suckers not blood suckers

  • Zooc, this was a ton of fun to watch and listen to. I have to ask, however: Alucard from Hellsing. Badass?

  • Vlad Tepes would so pro at starcraft xD

  • son of the dragon....DRAGONBORN! had to get that off my chest

  • @chrintov Fus ro da!

  • pretty amazing drawing
