The judges were too hard on Joe. They've given higher scores to people in later seasons that had maybe 1/10 the skill he does.

If I'm being honest I can see exactly why the judges didn't really give Joey high scores. I mean he wasn't being technical enough with it, he was too loose. There are certain moves you have to do to be qualified as doing a certain dance and if you don't do the moves then you haven't done the dance. To be honest he really got a lot farther than he should have.

I've watched every season and I have to say, the judging changed after the 1st season. Joey should have gone MUCH farther that year, the judges were very picky and that year, they really focused on the "improvement" aspect of the stars vs. the stars that had the natural talent like Joey did. He was ROBBED!
