  • There's a place for both Beethoven and McCartney in this world

  • I love you Paul so so so much !!

  • God Bless America!

  • Also meant to say thanks for posting this..=)

  • He's still so awesome!! Such an incredible man.....love him!!!

  • "The Love You Make," aired on SHOWTIME last night. If you missed it, watch it. What an amazing man he is. Truly. Thank you, Sir Paul McCartney, for all that you did for the people of NYC ten years ago. You helped people in the most important way: you gave of yourself with all of your heart. G-d bless you ~

  • 10 years later... never forget

  • i was there....such a gentleman

  • I prefer this to the original--so beautifully sung . . . so much more mature . . . just beautiful. Brings a tear this time.

  • Amazing!

  • I can't believe that this kind of artist are so old. But their songs make them young.

They maybe gonna die, one day, it's hard to believe. But what they did make them still alive for all the time.

  • he sounds so young!!

  • Thats why this country is the best one on earth. Paul was born in England and he loves America and its people like its his own

  • @awruf Paul McCartney is not the measure on what the best country is in the world.

  • @Powderwombat maybe not the best country in the world period, but Paul's an example of how generous, caring, and musically talented England is. Paul organized the entire concert, got musicians to play for free, and the public to donate money to non profits related to the effects of 9/11. 9/11 had no direct impact on England, yet here famous and busy English rockers supported for the US donating their time. England is the best for charity and music for sure; this concert is only one example

  • @4FabBEATLES: Well said. Look for Sir Paul in an upcoming special on the 10th anniversary of the 9/11 attacks. Paul will be shown talking to people on the streets of NY on that tragic day. I believe other celebs will be featured too.

  • not alot of singers can sing and sound like their records live. Saw Sir Paul in montreal was like listening to a record it was so good

  • Love the string quartet. IIRC, he was nervous about performing with one when George Martin first proposed them as part of the original arrangement.

  • He's the one who started the whole 9/11 concert for nyc. God bless him and his family and animals, etc.

  • God Bless you Paul.

Obviously, this was sung with heart.

  • the world trade center...........yesterday

  • EPIC

  • He is always young. It will be a very, very hard day when he passes.

  • He sounds the same still...rock on Paul!

  • damn.. this concert was one of the best things ive ever seen... the emotion.. the class.. the love...the passion... long live classic rock and roll :)

  • der alte mann kann es noch immer besser als andere anderen.

    Vergiss die stones

  • @eddy40625 McCartney macht großartige Musik. Die Stones auch.

  • not just anyone could go and sing such a famous song acapella- only SIr Paul McCartney!

  • Beautiful! Thank you very much.

  • The beatles are that best band ever and nobaody can ever truthfully judge them otherwise.

the bream will forever be dremt

  • paul was one of the best musicians him n john lennon and george harrison and ill show elvis love cause rock music didnt come out until those people beatles the best band ever

  • he wrote the song.. he can sing it however he wants.

  • I don't really like paul mcartney but i have to say yesterday is probably one of the best songs ever written and you can really feel that hes feeling it here....

  • Crying. Thanks Paul. Such a class act.

  • Lookit Paul giving it his all... this was truly an amazing concert given at a time when we needed the healing power of music more than ever. Paul and Bowie, to me, were the two stand-out artists of the evening - they both performed with obvious admiration and feelings....

  • que loco nosotros nos sabemos la letra mas q el

  • GREAT SING PAUL-

BEATLES are by far the best ever group in history =))

    Thanks for the memories!~

    Steve O

  • Watching this concert brings back such sadness for me. 2001 was by far the worst year ever. I'll never be able to forget it. There was 9/11 and George Harrison dying, on top of much worse things. What a long bleak winter that was, and it set the tone for the whole decade for me. But hope remains, but I look to the future to find it, not the past. (Anyway, Paul was a bright spot during this time, certainly! Great performance!)

  • luv watching him because he is really a great musician and he is also a little bit look like of my ex. At his age he still goodlooking and his voice does'nt change.

  • The words can't express this unbelievable performance. He's enormously gifted and talented musician and even a better person. God bless Paul and God bless the USA.

  • Some people have been overly critical of Paul, the "cute' Beatle, too commercial, yadda-yadda. The man is gifted with ENORMOUS talent, the kind that will go down in music history,I believe. This performance is so emotional, Linda had just died, the 9/11 tragedy, this version expresses it all...,

  • this is a good song and a good singer

  • RIP all who died, and heros of firefighting department and nypd

  • I never liked this song until this moment. Very sad.

  • é toi trou du cul t en a deja ecrite o moin une de ce calibre?

  • Oh my god, this made me cry. Got me thinking about when I saw the second plane hit the WTC.

  • tangnamo,tanga !!!!

  • fuck all u people who doesent like the beatles they fuckin rock yeaaaaaaaa babeeeeeeeee

  • fucking ayyyy man. who else?

  • go beatles im 12

  • son of a bitch... Paul did it again....... :(

  • The raw emotion in his voice is magic at 2:00

  • absolutly

  • Wow... Thats really all there is to say about this. Paul is such a wonder.

  • I'm curious as to why he chose to do it almost a capella for his part.

He's a strong vocalist, though, and I guess he thought it would be more impactful this way.

Regardless, It was very noble and endearing to have his presence there at that difficult moment in time.

  • I'm only guessing, but I think it was for acoustic guitar purposes. The guitar needs to be tuned down a whole step for Yesterday & I don't think he'd left New York at this point to go back home & get another acoustic to bring back with him. The one he had was tuned standard for the other songs he did, especially Freedom. Although I'm sure he could've easily borrowed a guitar & tuned it down, but like I said I'm just guessing. :)

  • the terrorism never will defeat america and its people.

  • True that! *thumbs up* we will NEVER be defeated by terrorism!

  • I am a fireman in a large U S city... the celebs that usually don the FDNY station tee-shirts always look contrived... but Paul looks quite fitting in that faded shirt... he looks like he could be riding on a local rig.

  • i agree. a working class hero.

  • Man what a moment in time!!. So much meaning to the song. Always brings a tear to my eye when I watch this. Never forget America.

  • Sir Paul is an avatar of Vishnu, a force of nature... gods walk amongst us. We are one. uh...

  • Look at his age. How many people can sing like that in this age. He is Genius.

  • Mccartney is one of the greatest musicians who ever lived. He can sing, play on many, many instruments, and as you can see, he can sing without any problems without music. And he wrote many great songs. He brought many things to music world!

  • It moved me then and it moves me now.

  • AMAZING!!!! :D

  • Specfuckingtacular.

  • I agree with that. Anyone of Pauls songs are more nostalgic and impactful.T heres a rich fine beauty in his music. I also tink here we see a true legend in his later years still showing raw nature. Paul is a legend and a geuious. I liked Bowies show here as well and the Stones before the Who. But they are legends too. What an incredible show! So many legends showed up. Thank God for them and their music.

  • mccartney is undoubtably one of the greatest music artist of all time.

  • No one beats McCartney.

  • @JulianLennon1 Excuse me. "nobody beats McCartney"?

Have you ever heard of L.V. Beethoven? HE is the greatest musician of all time.

McCartney and Lennon were great, but not the greatest.

  • @belikan3 L.V. Beethoven greatest composer*

  • Great song but...The Who stole the show, and beat McCartney at that show

  • Awesome. It was cool without the guitar.

  • great song
