@JohnWilskie I used rubber cement. It burns well and then comes off pretty easily after wards as long as you don't let it burn all the way out.

@Junglespeed7531 Yeah but it polishes off. The cornet was just a broken junker with bent parts, leaks and other problems which made it not worth fixing so to me it was just a worthless prop suitable for a sight gag. Although I could take measures to make it burn without risking the finish if I want to invest the time. This one wasn't worth the effort.
