@nasalflute actually i rode it like that a bit, there was enough play between the slipon muffler and the midpipe that it worked. most people dont realize it but when youre actually riding the thing, your swingarm only moves a few inches at the most. it was a temporary solution either way.
do you know of any conversion kits for the headlights? for a 89 hurricane cbr i dont care what they look like i just hate the square look on the one i just bought
@boostgage this is just a custom made bracket and headlight, headlight is an old one off a scrapped bike i found in a feild, hand fabbed the bracket. i doubt theres any kits, streetfighter stuff is pretty much 90% DIY as far as installs and bracketry.
Looks nice. I'm turning my 87 cane into a streetfighter and I'm not sure how to do the turn signals. I was thinking about buying fork clamps and doing it that way but how did you do yours? I gotta get some mirrors to and was going to do bar end mirrors but haven't found any yet.
@broden27 its a "veypor" unit, i bought it at a local bike shop, it was sortof easy to install but didnt work well and after only a few months of use stopped working all together. dont recommend getting one.
yeah, this ones pretty hard on the cojones. i cant even ride it anymore, kills my back, my wrists, my nuts, theres just no point, plus its full of electrical bugs that i cant seem to fix or sort out... not even worth it anymore.
everything on this bike is either a reworked stock peice, something off a salvaged bike, or one off custom. other than that, the best place to get new stock parts is dennis kirk, or your local motorcycle salv yard.
i left the lines, i fabricated a coupler to bolt both lines together end to end, so the cooler lines are the oil cooler now, i figured it was un-necessary considering i pulled 20 pounds of plastic and insulation off the old bitch
the fenders came off an old junker bike i found in a barn, a kawasaki s2. i gotta post an updated vid as well, since this one was already a year old when i posted it lol. its still in progress, but i think i rode it all of three times this year. been too busy with the kwak bobber. when i get some iron out of the yard ill probably do a new set of carbs and an airbox and a front and rear end off a newer bike.
я не забочусь, как это смотрит. я делаю это этим путем так, чтобы я мог поехать на этом любое время, лето или зима. где я живу, погода - больше резкого колебания чем большинство России.
online translator, i dunno if that came out right.
thanks! mentioned it in another video comment box, lol but i ran all of it between the airbox and fuel tank. the fuse box and all the main wiring harnesses are in the tail section, under the seat. beware, ditching all the plastics on a hurricane is enough work for me to safely say make sure its what you REALLY want before you go ahead and do it. be warned, its not pretty under there.
cannot stop laughing ,,,hahahah

how the heck do you attach an exhaust to the swingarm as the arm moves with the suspension?
a flexible exhaust pipe between the muffler and exhaust manifold?
DaftPACman 1 year ago
@DaftPACman it was like that for a day or two, it just worked on the play in the slipon muffler, it was never meant to stay that way.
bigsky89 1 year ago
@DaftPACman first bump he hits will bend that pipe
