Though NOT guitars, I've played on a friend's Loar-signed 1924 Gibson F-5 mandolin (check out the current prices of those!), and for 20 years I was entrusted with (loaned) a Loar-signed 1924 Gibson K-5 mandocello that was INSURED for $100K. BTW, nice playing. I've lusted for a National for a long time. One day.
Oh, I PLAY them, I don't own them. When I get a job, that's when I'll bust my balls for one of these. Maybe a '57 Les Paul Custom Black Beauty in Ebony, the triple pick-up one, or just a regular Standard or Traditional.
I want to brake it in towo, burn it, pour corrosive acid on it, freeze it, and bury in the ground forever years because I hate the way it looks and sounds
i understand what willie nelson is getting at with this.the guitar is of sentamental value to him.maybe thats what he means buy exspensive. by the way your finger plucking is kick ass garciems.
My '68 Fender Telecaster with original Bigsby and o/c is worth at least $8,500, which is nearly twice the price of the instrument shown in the video, however, that is a pretty small market value compared to many instruments. The fact that I bought it privately for only $275, though, is significant.
In the first 16 seconds you can see it on the bottom shelf farthest to the left. A Simon and Peter Cedar Cutaway.
The most expensive guitar I've seen for sale in a store is a Jimmy Page “Number Two” Les Paul. It was around $12,000 USD. It was in a show case though, so I couldn't play it. : /
@brainac0cult lol thats funny i just was listening to a jimi hendrix interview or something on tv and they said "does it make it harder to sing the blues when you have all this money and fame?" and he said not really but that it is easier
You are the first person that i've seen on youtube playing a classical piece in a resopohonic... that was gooood!!! I'm soooo bored about listening mediocre slide/blues playing on every resophonic!!!!
well the thing is you can buy the most expensive fucking guitar there is..it doesnt mean your going to become a guitar god ...and it doesnt mean people will like your music...........so top dreaming ...AND JUST PLAY ! ! !
Why would you be afraid to play it? I played a custom shop Les Paul worth $5000 when i was in New York lovely guitar just over my budget though got a silverburst robot SG insead.
You can sing the blues about having no money for that guitar in the shop. Then hang it back and get the Johnson JM 998.
