I was lucky enough to have parents who recorded most of the episodes on tape, about 4 years ago dad put them all onto DVD so my children can enjoy them as much as I did from about the age of three. there are about 7-8 episodes on each disc and there are 6 discs. they start at 1984-1987 but this was the first time i've seen this episode

I used to be obssessed with this show when I was little! Until I looked it up on youtube, I only vaguely remembered this one and one where they build some kind of playhouse in their backyard, but they have a grumpy neighbor. I think Lois sang to him or something lol.

I remember seeing them perform for the 1st time on Today's Special. They did a medley of folk songs on one episode and then they did a song or 2 on the rooftop of the store. Wish someone had video of them from that show when they played on the roof.

I also have warm childhood memories of this show. I watched it on TVO along with other shows on the Crawlspace. And nicely enough, this was one of the moments of the show that I remembered, because I learned what the expression "to fire" someone meant. Classic.

I used to watch the Elephant Show on cable TV back when I lived in Kalamazoo. I enjoyed it, as I did recorded music of the famous Canadian trio. They're in their sixties and/or seventies now, but every now and then they still make music. I always loved the lively song called "Skinnamarink!" It was the bomb. I still sing it once in a while.
