I think I started to take Dolly Parton seriously when I heard this song for the first time even though I prefer her mature style to her earlier works. But this stands out in its examination of materialism and the negative impact it can have on our lives. The feeling with which you sing it delivers that same message, going from the pleasure of a loving home to the anger and frustration with more materialistic classmates who just do not get it. You do the song justice. Brava.
