hey, thanks for the demo. I was wondering how those things worked. Can you lock it into place so that you can stand and use your guitar without the strap pulling the B string up to the C#?
@splashfizz There are other designs out there, but my Tele does not have any built-in mechanism to readily lock or unlock the B-bender feature. It would be a nice option to have, however. I was able to make internal adjustments to the spring tension, such that the bending action occurs only when I want it to, easily and smoothly. Also, if for some reason you don't want B-bending at all, for a while, you can simply restring the B, bypassing the bender route, altogether. God bless.
@NickWeiland My reply was just a manifestation of my less-than-conventional sense of humor; I understood what you meant and there was never any offense taken. Thanks, again, for watching. Take care & God bless.
@NickWeiland I ain't dead, yet,... but I'm workin' on it! Sorry, no, I'm not him. To quote Mark Twain, "Reports of my death have been greatly exagerrated." Thanks for watching. God bless.
@bashfulbrother Thanks for watching and for the kind remarks! It's a very nice instrument with which to be blessed, and would be one of my favorites even if it did not have the bender feature. Are you referring to DVDs with performances showcasing bender use, or are they more of an instructional nature? In this video, I'm running the guitar through an ISP Decimator, MI Audio Tube Zone, Damage Control Glass Nexus (for reverb), and then a stereo pair of ZT Lunchbox amps. Take care & God Bless!
@unclemark1000 Great tone. Actually I was talking about a DVD that is instructional. I picked it up about a month ago and it has really opened up the neck for me.
And No, I am not the person on the DVD, and I don't stand to gain in any way.

@unclemark1000 Boy, I hope you didn't get the wrong idea. I wasn't trying to sell any DVD's or anything. I hope I didn't leave that impression. The video is great. Did you have any trouble with slippage? When I bought mine I had a problem keeping it in an even interval. Just wondered if you had the same issue?.
@bashfulbrother I never thought you were selling anything. I appreciate the heads up on the DVD. I don't have the DVD yet, but liked the YouTube clips I watched. Doug Seven has a talent for imparting useable bits of technique in a way that does not overwhelm a student. It's nice to be gifted with musical talent and blessed with being able to teach, as well. If I get the DVD, I'll let you know if I encounter any of the same issues you have experienced. Take care & God bless!
Thanks so much Mark!... I was wondering how the "b-bender" worked on this guitar for quite some time. There looks to be allot to this guitar. It looks very well built - and I'm sure it's pretty heavy. I've owned some nice Tele's in my time, including some nice American Deluxe's - but this Tele seems to take the cake. The clean tones your getting out of that guitar are just incredible. Thanks so much for the informative video... Much, much appreciated!
It's kinda like having an exclusive tremolo/whammy bar to just one string..,right? Comments please.

It's not an insult or anything you remind me of the character from the series the walking dead

Nice Guitar. Good demo. I have an 94 B Bender w/o the mid pup.
I don't know how much lead work you do but I have access to some pretty decent bender DVD's that you might find interesting.
One other question. What are you playing the guitar through. Very Fender-ish tone. Nice resonance.
