I've seen a lot of comments about doping and I just have to say if he was a doper how did he pass all of the tests, and you can tell he isn't look how skinny he is, you can also tell his muscle is natural. If you look at Jan Ullrich then you know what doping really is.
doping isnt about muscle itself, i think you might have it wrong :P blood doping is taking blood out, letting the levels regenerate to normal, then putting more blood back into his body meaning more oxygen and sugars can be carried to his muscles.. it doesnt have anything to do with size, but it increases performance. ;) (and just a general fyi for everyone else if they didnt know btw)

And he's never failed a drug test, ever, that's more evidence than simply saying people (mind you who tested positive and have been suspended or banned from cycling) claim he's used drugs. Saying he's done something is much different than proving it, so far there is more evidence that he has done nothing wrong. Its innocent until proven guilty. And how come you hate him so much? I've seen a lot of comments about doping and I just have to say if he was a doper how did he pass all of the tests, and you can tell he isn't look how skinny he is, you can also tell his muscle is natural. If you look at Jan Ullrich then you know what doping really is.

doping isnt about muscle itself, i think you might have it wrong :P blood doping is taking blood out, letting the levels regenerate to normal, then putting more blood back into his body meaning more oxygen and sugars can be carried to his muscles.. it doesnt have anything to do with size, but it increases performance. ;) (and just a general fyi for everyone else if they didnt know btw)

@Sm1thrul3s Acutally your kinda wrong. Epo creates more red blood cells, your right. But more blood cells equal a higher hemoglobin count which helps carry oxygen througout your body and especially muscles being used.

if armstrong is a doper, does that mean that his cause is wrong? does it mean that he cannot do good? no and no.

It's so great to climb a mountain by bike, the feeling you get when you arrive at the top is unimaginable. You feel victorious, and then you sit down at the top and enjoy the big silence of the mountains and the beating of your heart. Lance Armstrong motivates me to ride the biggest mountains every year again.

Lance was unable to climb until he was powered by EPO with Dr. Ferrari. American physiologists wrote that his recovering abilities were poor so he had to focus on 1day race, and he was not the best US rider they had tested.
Doping is magic and as Riis an average pro-rider can become unbeatable with a good doping program.

@nzekulman Kohl confessed to use EPO during his career while beating around 200 testings : much more than the around 87 tests of Lance for the 1995-2005 of Lance Armstrong..
Marion Jones confessed EPO use too and was not caught despite 160 tests!
It's easy to beat EPO test, EPO can only be detected for a narrow window. Micro-dosing at 23H and everything is fine at 7:00 . Some EPO are still undectable.

In regards to Lance's "cleanliness", I'd consider your words if they were more than just speculatory. I'll consider the allegations against him as false until proven otherwise. The main reason why he is my hero, however, is because my friends and family have been deeply effected by cancer. If it will help you be quiet, Mark Cav, Cancellara, and Voigt are 3 of my other favourites.

@graychristopher Armstrong uses his cancer as a smoke screen to protect himself against criticism. I.e. if you doubt him then you are disrespectful to people with cancer. This is wrong. I have had 2 immediate family members affected by cancer so find his self alignment with such a powerful and terrible condition to be be personally offensive. He didn't 'fight' cancer like he would like people to think,he simply got very very lucky.

@funzo1983 If you read his book "it's not about the bike" then you would clearly see that he states that very point. That he didn't fight it, and couldn't if he wanted to. He was simply very lucky. You say he wants to people to think he did, but to put it into print surely contradicts your statement, he can never take that statement back now its printed and would of had many times to remove it before going to print. If he had wanted to, he would have done.

If he is convicted for doping,which I think he will,then that surely means his post cancer achievements are a farce. If people see him as a beacon of hope and then go on to find out he is a drug cheat,it must be detrimental to their own personal battles.
