  • Is it just movies with American Directors that were eligible? That would explain why Drive & Tinker,Tailor, Soldier, Spy are missing.

  • @digvoldon yea thats why te artist could not aficially make the list because most of the staff was french

  • Bridesmaids ? Are you fucking kidding us ?

  • @nowayout35 what can i say it was a weak year for american films a list where bridsmades and jedgar makes the list you know there was not much to pick from

  • @22smosh It was a great year for film, they just made some shitty selections.

  • The harry potter saga!! <3

  • Clips from Curb look a bit weird with that epic soundtrack playing over them.

  • PARKS & REC :D

  • Parks & Recreation!!! :) :)

  • DRIVE is missing for sure...

  • One word, DRIVE.

  • They should have put in Captain America The First Avenger, X Men First Class, Drive, and Super 8, Horrible Bosses, or Crazy Stupid Love

  • What the NO BUCK?!?

  • HARRY POTTER!! yessss

  • I was surprised to not see Drive but Tree of Life truly is the best film of the year. Glad to see it got recognized.

  • J. Edgar was a terrible movie. but all of the others are good/ i want to see them. Game of Thrones should win for TV FOR SURE!!

  • @JdubsFTW AFI honors 10 movies and 10 television series, this isn't like the golden globes where there's only one winner. They are all winners. But Game of Thrones was fantastic this year!

  • DRIVE and THE ARTIST were ROBBED!!!!!

  • @Picuco09 The Artist is not an American film, so it was recognized in the Special Awards at the end of the video. (Which explains why Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy is also not on there)

  • @Picuco09

    Not American directors

  • Yeah, the Help! All the way to the Oscars baby!

  • Where's "The Walking Dead"?

  • Not perfect without We Need to Talk About Kevin

  • Where is Community????

  • 100% Agree!

  • The music is reminiscent to the Hercules tv series theme.

  • AFI has just made asses out of themselves by including Bridesmaids but leaving out Drive & The Ides of March, and Contagion, to a lesser degree.

  • @grindhouse141 Contagion.. not so much

  • @chaosflamesx Hey its not "great" but its a really solid film.

  • @grindhouse141 bridesmaids received more critical acclaim than the ides of march or contagion, and drive was much more controversial.

  • @kiwiifalling Well if you're going by Rotten Tomatoes they used 222 reviews for Bridesmaids and 199 reviews for The Ides of March, which would account for the 5% difference. But I'm not really sure why you're bringing up critical claim as an explanation for Ides & Contagion's absence when AFI included J. Edgar which got panned by most critics. And Drive wasn't really that controversial, as if that even matters in the first place.

  • @grindhouse141 dude, im not saying that I personally would have left out drive. clearly, the discrepancy between bridesmaids and drive in terms of critical consensus wasn't too far off, and disagreement over drive may have had a factor in leaving off drive off the list, as there were a number of critics who passionately hated it.

  • awesome vid man, rocks my socks

  • I'm so happy for Harry Potter!!

    Woody Allen strikes back! =)

  • Where's The Muppets?

  • No We Need To Talk About Kevin? Madness.

  • Tinker Tailor Solider Spy > J. Edgar

  • Love it!!!

  • Nice choices AFI, nice choices.

  • congrads to the honorees and the production behind all these movies and programs.

  • Ten Thousand Thundering Typhoons ! Where the hell is Tintin ?
