And also do the cymbals sound different for different kits?

you can change the cymbals to a kick drum or tomtom or even to one of the wacky sound effects they've got. Theres all sorts of crash effects including splash and china cymbals, you can adjust the size,sizzle etc.

Quick question, He says that there are 2 crash and 1 ride but are you only limited to crash and ride sounds or can you somehow get splash or china sounds, etc.?

There are symbols you can add Meghan3192, you can buy an Aux Symbol for a hundred or so. The aux has th good/funny sounds not used by the average lame drummer.
