  • hello awesome video thanks the cost of the bullet proof vest greetings

  • Why the Arrow? You still have the Mooney, right?

  • 3:04 great way to inadvertently stall and crash an airplane.

  • @DiamondPilotDan There's nothing inadvertent about a stall. It has all to do with angle of attack.

  • @SoarBird134 INADVERTANT: Not resulting from or achieved through deliberate planning; unintentional.

that means accidental. I know what a stall is. you could ACCIDENTALLY stall the airplane because A. you were at a low speed B. you banked hard and that increases load factor, which lowers stall speed. just because you know how a stall happens doesn't mean you need to post retarded off-subject comments at anyone who doesn't love your videos, you big, spoiled dork.

  • Nice video with an equally nice soundtrack!

  • Shit is tight. Excellent vid!

  • did you fly below class B airspace or above and got flight folowing?

  • @revowild In this case below the B. But normally I get cleared through bravo at 1500 or 2000.

  • ROP would mean best power and LOP would mean best economy? right

Ps: sorry for all the questions i have im meeting with my flight instructor next week.

  • @revowild No. They are just two ways of leaning the engine to reduce CHT and ICP through cooling. ROP cools the cylinder with surplus fuel. LOP provides total combustion and cools the cylinder with surplus air. Best power/economy depend on your engine and should be listed in the POH. Typically best power is 100ROP and best economy is either 25ROP or Peak. You need an engine monitor to be able to check CHT/EGT on each cylinder for finer leaning control. Good luck.

  • one more thing what does LOP and ROP mean?

  • @revowild Lean of Peak and Rich of Peak EGT

  • do get 140knots whats your power setting

  • @revowild 75%

  • @SoarBird134 75% best power?

  • @revowild 75% 50ROP. When you're renting wet, you really don't care about micromanaging the power and it would be silly to fly anything but as fast as possible. When you own, it's a completely different story. I've since bought a Mooney 201. I fly 75%, 65%, or 55% depending on what I'm trying to do. If I just want to fly local and extend the fun or log time, I go 55% and LOP. If I want good economy on xcountry, 65% LOP. If I have the need for speed, 75% 25ROP and 155KTAS+ on 11gph!!!

  • lmao thats a cool airport whats that airport called? liek what if he taxis onto the road and starts going down it in that plane or a smaller one or like in an ultralight or something and a cop chases him and he just takes off thatd be sweeeet haha

  • Hey mate, what about your altitude ? 1000ft. above cities... you forgot ?

  • What's the cruise speed for the piper arrow?

  • @Anonymous1226 140ktas at best

  • @SoarBird134 140 kts? Are you sure you don't mean 140 mph? My dad has a piper cherokee & his cruises at only about 120 mph.

  • @Anonymous1226 Yes, 140 knots true airspeed at about 6,000ft density altitude in a perfect configuration. A bit lower or sloppy, more like 135 but I did get 140 the whole way going to Ohio. The arrow is a Cherokee with retractable landing gear, 180HP, and a constant speed prop. The extra HP, the reduced drag from gear, and the reduced drag from prop really add up!

  • I hate music. I want hear real sound!

  • The climb performance on the Arrow is pretty bad, but still a great plane

  • Awesome video. Terrible music. Just let us hear the original audio, not some annoying song.

  • One day im going to own my on piper arrow and great video by the way

  • love the videos!! just got my ppl last week... with All these airspaces you are flying in you must of mastered the radio work! ANy tips on better radio work would be helpful

  • @074dmc Yeah, learn to fly the airplane first. I had loads of glider time and airplane flying in Class G/E airspace before venturing into any airspace. If you can fly the airplane comfortably where you barely need to think about it, then you have more resources available for dedicating to the radio stuff. I probably got flight following on that flight anyway, but I could have flown that entire flight VFR without talking on the radio to anyone (except hudson river traffic). Good luck

  • aw i was hoping to see more of staten island :( awesome video though!

  • @mustang2005 Not much to see besides a load of garbage :p

  • @SoarBird134 um no...

  • Love the movie, but hate the music. Messing it up..

  • Great video...but for goodness sake, why do people insist on putting such intrusive music over the top?! Gets irritating after 5 minutes!

  • awesome video

  • Randall, Middletown, NY, I just watched the video again. Did not realize they had all the gliders activity !

  • What was the airport with the gliders ? The one before Cherry Ridge? Nice video, I like the added view from the ground of takeoff and landing.

  • Great video and good flying....

  • Makes me want to learn how to fly!
