I still believe that Warcraft was one of the best Strategy games out there even with Starcraft II Out now. I've had This game twice but something would always happen to the disc, but now I'm willing to get it a third time. I find it funny that I had this game for a while but never really knew much about it. I never knew that you could have Heroes out on this field in custom games...

Ok I got the game. Probably about a week or two after I posted the comments. I beat the campaigns on both RoC and TFT but I just can't seem to get any good at it. I think I've only beat the computer once or twice and that was on easy mode and I still have yet to beat anyone online. Anybody got any tips? I tried looking at videos on here but they don't help much

Ehh...? No it.s in 3d and moving the camera does nothing to do with if a game is threedimensional or not. In this game you can zoom in though and i consider that moving the camera...closer to the character that is.

it amazes me that some people don't get how 3d objects are rendered. A 3d object is originally made as a wire frame, then sprites are wrapped around the frame to make it LOOK 3d. Computers today simply don't have the power to render multiple solid objects at once.

Despite all criticisms that I read (most of which are childish although some are fairly reasonable), I'd say that this is one of the FEW games that endures time. Several great games come and go in a couple of months but this one? Almost a decade and counting. I'm not a fan of the game (neither a hater though) but I do acknowledge its lasting appeal to gamers.

I have yet to see a pc that cannot run Warcraft 3 fairly well, may i ask your graphic cards power and how many ram you have?... even a pc with 512 ram should be able to handle warcraft 3, atleast in an okay way, though not too well in larger fights

personally i've always used the Geforce series, as they are stable and very well working, and for a pretty good performance i'd recommend around 1024 ram of decent quality, though less is most likely able to do it, about the grapics card.. well, i guess most cards in the middle and up parts of the 7000 series should run it very nicely, i myself have a 7900 clocked, and i run WoW with 40-60 FPS, so i guess a 7000 something Geforce and 1024 ram, then you'll be sure to get an awesome experience.

hard to say, im not an american so i honestly cannot compare prices that well im afraid look around at differnt sites that sell tehse things for a bit and you'll see, and well, if you get the 1000 ram and a decent better grapics card, you may be able tot run HL 2, though i can't promise anything as HL 2 requires a lot of detail being in loaded in each level

With regards to which games i can recommend, for open rpg's if you're into that i may recommend a game called "morrowind" it's a huge open world, may have some stuff you need to get used to, but a very nice game, i spent over 300 hours playing it myself. Another good game would be Jedi knight outcast or Jedi knight Academy. Lastly i'd like to recommend a game called Knights of the old republic 1 and 2, also rpg's. Most of these games have the same graphic requirements that warcraft 3 has.

A bit late with my comment but at this point in time I doubt there are many computers left in service that can't run any of Blizzard's games prior to WoW just fine. I played WC3 on a P3 550 MHZ system with a geforce 4 64 mb graphics card and 768 mb of ram without any issues (pretty low graphical settings, but still looked fine). Currently play it on a MacBook Core 2 Duo with its integrated Intel GMA 9500 on the highest possible settings with no issues at all.
