rich has done alot, he came into sport as an average joe and dominated while being a school teacher. He holds impressive wins over ken shamrock, yushin okami, matt hamil, wanderlie silva, and chuck liddell. He also went distance with dan henderson no easy feat and many believe he was cheated out of the win. He holds record of 28-5 and in a sport like this its very hard to do so. Not only that his only losses were to all former champions every single one of them.
Also if you want to compare other hall a farmers, ken shamrock 27-14 with his only impressive win coming to dan severn. Or Randy couture, who is only 19-10 with his impressive wins vitor, chuck, and tito. As for do I think rich will ever get gold again no. I do believe he is more rounded than most fighters but his greatest str striking will not be able to do the job. I think he ranks top 10 maybe a little higher. I see him going distance with most of them but never really being the same again.

His last 3 wins were very unimpressive, mark coleman come on he is another one should retire, brandon vera who was cheated out of his win, 2 times he almost ko/tko randy, and all randy did was greco wrestle him to cage without any dirty boxing for a win, many people compared it to shogun/machida fight. The top contenders he did face he was beaten.
