this is my fave nba game on the ps1... and its really good for a ps1 game...there is soo much good stuff..the dunk animations,ball animation really touches the rim... a true classic.. memories man.. twas 8 years ago...
@BASKETBALLJEZUS Yeah but the ps1 version was a better game in my opinion. The two games weren't exactly the same and honestly the ps2 generation was when EA started to fall off. The ps1 era was their best era.
@BASKETBALLJEZUS The reason I felt it was better was because it didn't try to incorporate a lot of the freestyle handling controls, it made it feel more even gameplay wise. It's hard to explain but the ps1 version felt more like a sim than the ps2 games (except for 2005 which was pretty good). I remember when I got the game for ps2 for the first time how high my expectations were. I was disappointed and that was the beginning of my switch to 2k basketball.

The PS1 game was still using the same game engine as live 98 LOL. Play this game on PS2 and see how it's 10x different.
