I have his autobiography (only published in Japan), in which he stated the reasons he was offered roles in films (besides his martial arts expertise) is that he can play characters of many different ethnic backgrounds, other than being a generic American.

I have this movie!!! It was filmed at 1981 and it was directed by Robert Clouse who's also had directed Bruce Lee's "enter the dragon"
