when he said Christianity he mean Catholic church. Catholics are not Christian . It wasn't angels these guys were associating with. They were demons. The word angels is simply being used in this documentary as a euphemism.

its apparent to me that these medieval societies paved the way for the enlightenment age by studying mathematics and science, which to the church at the time would consider blasphemy. without these innovative and pioneering men, we would most certainly be living in the dark ages, doomed to the dogmatic belief systems and horrible guilt that organized religion instilled.

i as well cant see anything wrong with secret societies represented by this documentary, from what i gather, many secret societies researched the way they did in secrecy to disguise themselves ultimately to protect their interests from monotheistic organizations that would otherwise charge them for heresy.

These scientists who were being persecuted for their "knowledge" were being persecuted by the Catholic Church. The Catholic Church perpetrated as though it was (and still is) Christian. It wasn't then and still isn't. True Christians would understand that Jesus being crucified paid the physical penalty that was called for in the old testament concerning witchcraft and heresy.
