At the state levels it is the majority rules.

We banned smoking in public in austin by majority rule.

States have many laws that are inacted by majority rule.

The point of the states having so many rights apart from federal government was so that each state could have its own laws that fit the citizens of that state and in the beginning people moved to whichever state they felt suited their needs or where they wanted to influence it with their views.

Campaign Reform

We need someone that can set up and run a campaigning web site that Politicians can use to campaign without having to take lobbyists money. I was going to keep this idea for my self but it can be called My Vote and it can be set up like My Space but it can have poling tabs on the issues. Each state can have a tab and each politician can have a bio of how they voted on the issues.

Preventative Indefinite Detention

Right after condemning Bush operating outside the law, Obama announced today that he will: Develop a legal strategy outside US Law & Military Law to indefinitely detain people who MIGHT commit a crime! What he calls preventive indefinite detention, (just like in the Tom Cruise Movie, Minority Report)!

So you can be locked up for 10 or more years without any trial, indictment, or hearing because of what someone thinks you MIGHT do sometime in the future!

Big stick shouldnt be nukes and he recognises that, but instead simply a show of power through unity of groups and putting forth an understanding that peace is preffered but violence is there as a last resort but one that wont be pursued weakly if it must be done.

5 star is because people need to see that these are made and keep up with the issues whether they agree or not.

You shouldnt just believe something and refuse to believe that your mind can never be changed.

You also shouldnt disagree with somebody only based on stale arguments and instead should keep up with the issues of the day so you can know your opposition and best counter them.

I actually keep up with everything that is going on day in and day out so I do not have stale arguments. I just know that:

1. The majority of Obama's policies (including economic) have not worked as they planned and have not helped out the country to this point.

2. He, as stated in the video, just had a party with a bunch of lobbying special interest groups.

3. Gibbs seems to like lying or completely dancing around real questions.

4. The fly swatting was good but PETA called him out for it.

1) Its not even been 6 months, whats to not work? Most of the major spending takes time to plan out and few people thought we would get some major upswing in just months.

1. It's been about 6 months and we had to push through all of that stimulus right away or the economy would be so far gone we'd never recover, right? Well, we have only used $44 billion of it so far, so it must not have been too urgent.

2.Proof of hypocrisy/ lies...

*holding accused terrorists indefinitely with no charges (which was horrible when bush was doing it but is apparently ok now)

1) Nobody ever claimed it would be or had to be spent right away

It was expected that half the money would be on projects that wouldnt be able to get out of planning stages (and therefore be able to hire all the workers) for 2 years

The stimulus was about short term economy jolts and long term recovery

There were other funds also spent outside the stimulus bill to help move things along, such as money spent to get credit flowing again

I hated the bank bailout too, but cant get everything i want

He was specific on what taxes he was talking about, your stretching here.

The tax issue he was talking about was always in reference, whether it was from him or another candidate, to income tax. Not spending taxes.

The lobbyist was definitely a problem. No doubt.

Making or saving jobs isnt make up.

What it means is that jobs were created through monies from gov, direct or indirect, that can be traced back to current policy

None of this adds proof to your original accusaton of hypocracy though

Back to the stimulus, you keep forgetting that more than just the stimulus has been spent right now to boost the economy.

We have spent more than 44bil overall to different parts of the economy. The stimulus was only one part of a bigger effort.

I explained how making/saving jobs is defined.

You normally get rid of 500 jobs from lack of funding, but through stimulus you only lose 200. You saved 300 jobs.

Its not misleading when he was very clear what tax he was talking about.

How they are affected by any other taxes changes from person to person.

Some will save more money than others do.

Say I dont smoke, as the majority of america doesnt.

I am not affected by the tax, and in fact, if it cuts down further on smokers, I may save money because less smokers to be paid out insurance money to deal with self inflicted illness.

May lower rates or keep them more stable at least

It is a fact that smokers don't live as long so they don't draw SS for 30 years. People that don't smoke die from the same illness. They also get treated so that cost is the same. Smokers are a less burden on taxes plus they pay much more every pack they smoke. It just depends on where you look for your "DATA".
