@gmertl Ha ha..I'll bet..I could picture it as being alot safer to use than a small one. THe added weight of it must make it alot more stable to use. Looked some cool when You pulled that thing out...I'll bet its making alot of guys jealous! I know I wish I had one that big! LOL!!! Now I feel deprived!
I've already watched this video once—this is my second time around. Looking forward to more of your videos. Thanks for subscribing to my channel. I'm not an experienced turner so I'm depending on the rest of you guys for tips. THANKS!
@BradburyGuy Thanks very much. Think you'll find it's a simple little project and allows you a lot of leeway for design. I watched a couple of your videos and you're doing just fine. I'm not that experienced either. Hey, I noticed you are in Castle Rock. I'm in Belingham and we always stop for gas at Castle Rock when driving to and from Portland to visit our daughter. Small world.
@gmertl Cool, I'm just four miles up Spirit Lake Hwy. I lived in Lynnwood for thirteen years. I had a Franz Bread rout that took me to Bellevue, Kirkland, Lake Samamish, and Mercer Island. I did a lot of freelance photography on my off time for calendars and postcards. I loved the area around Anacortes and Washington Park.
@baconsoda Thanks Brendan, It came out pretty well although a bit rough. Could have done a better job of shaping the curve of the handle. But, it works great so that's all that matters.
If you have seen crocodile dundee when he pulled out his big knife...If you think you got a gouge...This is a gouge !! Great video! Im subbing in!

Hi Gary,
Thanks for the kind words, that was very good of you. I can see, already, that your process is going to be a lot more eloquent than mine.
Best Wishes, Brendan.

@baconsoda "eloquent"?? I meant "elegant". I was watching Part 2 and that mistake just jumped into my head.

@baconsoda I sort of figured that. Gary
