  • i need the cheapest place to get this pedal!

  • @neagler1 how can a pedal be better than one another? they all have differnt sounds! each one does something differnt!

  • Didn't like this pedal at all. Countless other pedal do fuzz far better.

  • STACK SHOT BILLY.

  • Every time he points, you gotta drink.

  • Black Keys, "Stack Shot Billy"? Now I have to own it!

  • @nsschmid I KNOW!!

  • @sambone5407

No it's The Girl I Love She Got Long Black Wavy Hair by the one and only LED ZEPPELIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Rock on

  • Not a fan of this particular box at all. Would likely be wonderful as a recording tool, but trying to use it live amounted to a massive failure. No midrange at all, in a band with more than one guitar or in a jam situation you'll utterly disappear. If you have a method to compensate for it, it's a really nice silicon Fuzz Face-y sound. As I said, though, I'll bet this is a great pedal for recording purposes.

  • @TheBGSMusic did yo bother to trim the tweak knob?

  • I have this pedal and it is very quiet and stuff it is good though

  • Jimmy Page uses the JMI. But its not cheap.

  • I believe the intro is a variation of hendrix "here my train comin'"

  • I wish the "tweak" knob was on the Earthquaker Monarch, which would've made it a much more Orange-sounding pedal.

  • If you are thinking of buying this item to be part of a pedal board under no circumstances waste your money. It's a great sounding fuzz if you're using it alone with guitar and amp but be warned there is ZERO gain from this pedal - it's a fucking joke.... I wanted a fuzz sound to add to my pedal board I was recommended this and foolishly bought it off the net without trying it but in a live context it is literally unusable. And that's through a Matchless DC30!!

  • @Freidlon7 What do you mean "zero gain"? That doesn't makes sense.

Do you get a volume drop when used with other pedals? It sounds like it's got gain.

  • who plays the intro songggg?? anyone know?

  • @cbertram11

Led Zeppelin's "The Girl I Love She Got Long Black Wavy Hair" only released in the "BBC sessions" album, which is a very good buy for any serious fan

  • position 2 was best

  • way too much pointing

  • hey would you recommend putting a bass guitar through this?

  • Hey... a Gibson Varitone in a pedal

  • you guys always do and have the best reviews for pedals on the internet. I also appreciate that the reviewer is a very good guitar player, and that he always uses the same guitar and amp when he is using the different effects. Thanks very much

  • The Girl I Love......She's got looong Black Waaaavy Hair!!!!

  • whats the song in the very beggining of the video

  • Is this pedal true bypass?

  • @AlexDeMars123

    Not Is not¡¡ sorry man ¡¡¡ :(

but sounds great al the way ¡¡

  • @AlexDeMars123 yea!

  • @AlexDeMars123 Yes! It's true bypass. It's just another fuzz face style pedal, but the tweak control is the secret weapon of this noise machine! My TF sounds like on the video, but my fingers aren't like Andy's ones!

  • Man.. This and all other fuzzes add too mutch low end for my taste.

  • The Girl I Love She Got Long Black Wavy Hair...great opening!

  • Proguitarshop gear testing demos are the best ones on youtube still! Keep doing it, Andy!

  • I scored one of these pedals today and I am very impressed with it. I own several fuzz pedals and this has to be the most versatile. It has a range from 60's Garage/Psych to 70's heavy Rock. Great pedal for the price.

  • Nice ballsy tones. Sounds like it cleans up real good, too, with the guitar's volume knob.

  • if u want fuzz just buy a line6 spider and put it on insane channel, hardest fuzz u ever heard

  • @tuinstoel77 just no.

  • @tuinstoel77 oh my god.... please stop trying

  • @tuinstoel77

I can imagine one of my shits sounding better.

  • Sounds really decent, I've ordered one to find that classic vintage tone without breaking the bank.

If it's a little thin I guess you could beef it up with an equalizer, with some raised los?

  • SABBATH

  • I think best of fuzz pedals is the "death by audio fuzz war". Check it out in the demo by proguitarshop.

  • I got a question: what's the difference between Overdrive and Fuzz?

I think it's a "heat" matter. Maybe the fuzz is dry, more agressive than the overdrive?

    Can anyone help me?

    Thx.

  • when he talks about overdrive he is referring to using the added volume output to push his amp beyond its clean headroom, in other words into overdrive. Which would be where a tube amp begins to distort.

  • the fuzz has more muff than the ovredrive

  • not very impressed

  • not quite thick enough for my taste

  • honestly it sounds a lot like a distortion pedal

  • if you're looking for quality fuzz, this one is for you. the quality is second to none. my search for fuzz is over.

  • Black Keys! stack shot billy

  • first riff is Led Zepp

  • Hi, what's the first riff played? :) Thanks.

  • spanish castle magic - jimi hendrix

  • i dont know what it is but im sure as hell it's not spanish castle magic.

  • The Girl I love She Got Long Black Wavy Hair

  • @pableision its called "The girl i love she got long black wavy hair"" by zeppelin

  • The Tweak Fuzz is basically just a silicon Fuzz face with a rotary switch at the input which switches in different valued input caps.

As with all Fuzz Face pedals, you really do need to bias the second transistor properly to get a really good sound out of it. You do this by adjusting the value of the resistor attached to the collector leg of the second transistor until it reads ~4.5volts or so on a multimeter. Sounds more complicated than it is. :)

  • I Know what you saying, but it doesn't use transistors. So not really

  • of course it uses transistors

  • I was looking to buy this one...what do you recommend that's better then this. I'm sure there are many. I was also looking at that orange boss overdrive pedal which sounded better then this one. So let me know if you can. Thanks

  • boss licks my nutz

  • This is my baby!

  • anybody kno wat they got for transistors in this thing, silocon, germanium?

  • Silicon. A 2n3904 for Q1 and a higher gain 2n4401 for Q2.

  • finally you played something from the black keys in your demos...

  • watch the mastotron fuzz video

  • does anyone know what the Intro and Exit music is called and who its by?

  • Stack Shot Billy!!! that last song is great. the black keys rock

  • This is the truth.

  • you guys love to play zeppelin! who doesnt

  • use a booster before the tweak fuzz maybe solve your problem. I use a Les Paul and it sounds really great in all positions.

  • Is there any pedals that sound really fuzz?

  • Mean fuzz is one

  • Are those TWEAK settings click-stops , and not 100% variable over the travel of the knob ?

  • Yes, they are click-stops. Probably different cap values is why. Thanks,

    PGS

  • im selling this pedal and couple of other pedal prices are negotiable if anyone is interested let me know.

  • Seymore duncan is always so smooth. There is something fishy going on here.

  • this ped is all out FUZZ fury!

  • what do you think between this and a dallas arbiter fuzz face? for a rock/heavier blues tone?

  • the girl i love, she got long black wavy hair, i do declare

  • lets talk about fuzz man, when you got the seymour duncan tweak fuzz you dont need a girl anymore

  • hahahahaha.....

  • Seems to work best going into a tube amps gain channel with some overdrive rather than a clean channel

  • I can't get mine to sound like the demo through my clean channel. I am using it to goose my V32's gain channel to Santana violinish drive. It's too bright and cheesy in my clean channel.

  • Maybe that's because your not using a $3,000.00 amp.

  • I got bad results with this direct into a clean tube amp. I got excellent sound going into a crunchy Marshall and REALLY good results with the Marshall an a buffer-boost pedal set to unity gain before it (vintage DOD FET Preamp pedal).

  • how do you use the pedal...are you suppose to include the dirty sound the amp already has along with the pedasl turned on?....

  • I have one, and i've found that there isn't enough output.

    could just be mine though.

  • Mabey your cord is too long, making it lose some power

  • are you talking about more overdrive settings? ive heard that allot.

  • i wanna hear some soloing on this thing

  • how does it work with a wahwah pedal? :]

  • im wondering the same thing as arekceg... anybody tried it with a wah running into it?

  • I love the sound, where in your signal chain would you put this? First?

  • i'd put it after my wah, after my distortions, so that i could use it as a solo boost (the way its not even supposed to be used)

in the song sigillum diaboli by H.I.M. the solo is i think boosted with fuzz on top of the amp's distortion. whatever he uses, i think it sounds insanely good lol

  • any troubles when just the wah and fuzz are on? (i mean with oscillation)

  • ilove this fuzz sound

  • stack shot billy!!

  • for songs like cliffs of dover, he uses multiple low gain units. he uses a BK Butler designed tube driver, running imnto a Maestro echoplex, tinto his '69 plexi with a Y cable to jump the channels.

  • remember eric johnson also uses a custom $40,000 Dumble amp too

  • dallas arbiter fuzz combined with a Chandler tube driver

  • damn, i should sell my muff and buy this great piece of rock'n'roll!

  • me2!! i dont like the sound of my little big muff. the muff is great 4 a 70's black sabbath early metal tone, but i'm looking 4 a 60's fuzz page beck & hendrix type thing and this mite be it!

  • nah dont sell ur muff hell no

  • I have that pedal but mine is really quiet for some reason. Even when I turn it up all the way it is quieter than my clean tone. Has anyone else had this problem?

  • mine kinda does that but after i put the volume at 75 percent its louder than my clean as long as the gain is at 50 or louder. other than that at full vol. and gain it screams on my blues jr. lol

  • Wow sounds like a big muff but with WAY more gain options and mid scoopage

  • After owning many versions of the Muff (Sovtek, NYC, Ramshead, etc.), I can tell you that this thing won't even come close to a good Muff.

The Muff (especially the American version) is so much more extreme than this, it's not even funny. My NYC Muff drives my amp so hard that the faceplate is almost too hot to touch after using it.

  • This one is much more versitile! A big muff is too static.. Yes it sounds good, but it only sounds one way.. I want the throaty fuzzy bassy sound, but i prefer it a litte bit transparent, and with this baby (tweak fuzz) you can combine your original marshall/orange/vox valve sound, and just bite it with a perfect amount of throaty fuzz.. Also check out the "voodoo lab superfuzz" it's awesome!

  • That the sound im after

  • That fuzz really is smooth. Stack Shot Billy, also awesome. Great demo, well done.
