  • but does it taste like brownies though? i don't want it to be too sweet, do the dates make it a bit sickly? I would be tempted to eat the whole batch lol. I think I've tried hemp seeds before but can they be quite husky (lol I mean like the husks on them)? You should try cooking with skunk lol it actually tastes really good as a flavour maybe remove the THC if you are worried (I don't know if you can boil it out) but in little bits it has to be good for you, who knows.

  • @lioxoda these taste better then any cooked brownie I ever tried. So decadent!

  • Can you use carob as a sustitute for cocoa?

  • @FaunadeFlora Sure! whatever tastes good for you!

  • I should add though that you won't receive the health benefits of cacao in carob...

  • how pure does the cacao need to be? 80%?

  • @stanfosi The purer the better, as the dates will provide all the sweetness you need. 80% is a good amount though, I always try to follow the 80/20 rule (80% whole, unprocessed and 20% everything else). With 80% goodness the body can handle the 20% of not-goodness.

  • Adam:

This recipe sounds fab - I will try it...... Sylvia
