WWE totally dropped the ball with Ultimo Dragon. He could have brought some great matches to the cruiserweight division with Rey Mysterio and Chavo Guerrero but WWE had to tarnish his legacy in the States and make him a jobber

If dragon could have adapted his style like Mysterio did for WWE then he would have made it. Sasuke had his chance too. Back when they brought back the light heavyweight title to television. He was being pushed to win the tournament and be champ. He had to go and fuck it up by going back to Japan and saying he would never defend the title in America. Dragon shouldn't have to change his style. Rey changed it a little to be able to go longer and go with bigger guys, but had Dragon just been with the cruiserweights and not been thrown to the wolves the fans would have been on their seats at every move, just like they were here.

You're right Sasuke did fuck his chances but he was another guy that didn't want/need to adapt his style. And even Taka ended up being a joke in the end. Look at the 2000 Royal Rumble

exactly. WWE just doesn't want to spend the time making a good lightweight/cruiserweight division. Just like they have given up on tag teams. Any 2 guys not having a feud can be thrown together for them. They have maybe 2 tag teams that they can actually work with and that's it. WWE is more interested in out selling merchandise than they are putting on great shows since they don't see TNA as a threat yet
