NO YOU CANNOT! do not make that mistake... this is a UMA phone which means that the WIFI is ONLY for phone or voip calls. I too thought that you could surf the web with wifi but i found out after receiving a bill for it. The WIFI capability is found in the 6300i

yes you can I use mp3's as my ring tones. This can either be done it with a memory card or by hooking your phone up to the PC. More details can be found at Nokia's web site.

i've converted to a small size, but it keeps saying 'unable to use as ringtone'.

Your phone may be locked by your provider, preventing it from using MP3's as ring tones. Apparently Fido does this in Canada. Apparently "debranding" it works, though I'm not sure what this means and what it costs etc. I found something about it on the Howard cell phone forums.

I would love to know the answer to this too. I suspect they have made it very difficult or impossible to use mp3s as ring tones. You may have to change the firmware or something like that. Maybe it's my provider that does this though. Mine is Fido here in Canada. I would risk hacking the firmware to do it though if I felt confident it would likely work.

yo, maybe its the file format. try using wma or acc audio files for ringtone it'll probably work.

However you can't use WiFi for messaging or web browsing.

hey can you change the theme of the phone?? and also if you change the theme of the phone the menu from grid change also, like animate or any other pictures includes in the THEME?

Yes you can change the themes. And yes if the theme pack has icon pictures those will change as well. Just go to settings select theme I hope this helps.

How is the reception and ringer volume? Do you ever miss calls because it's not loud enough?

Reception is good to I'll give it in eight out of 10 and as far as the ringer volume it depends on what type of ringer are using if using an mp3 if it's at least a 128 bit song it will sound louder I only use mp3's for ring tones and it sounds very loud keep in mind that it is a media phone so you can use any song you might have as a ring tone. and no I've never missed a call because I can't hear the ring tone. I hope this helps you out.

One thing I liked about the phone when I had it was the fact that it multitasks. Like play music while texting or playing games. It isnt stainless steel but the phone was built VERY VERY sturdy! So, in other words ELI MISSES IT! But I am glad it is still in the family haha.

you can use the wifi as is but it will use your air time mins but for only $20 you can use it as much as u want and not use up any of your mins i pay 10 with mine because i added hotspot when i first got T-M. so yes wifi calls are free if u get the $20 add on to your bill it's not bad when u think about all the calls you can make for nothing i saved big because of turned off my home phone and only use my cell. O and it's best if you use T Mobile's Router i'll make a vid saying why.
