Just out of curiosity, since you dont need a teaching degree or much education to work at an Ekiwa ... Can you work at one then after awhile work at a school to teach kids ? or do you need a degree in that? I know a lot of the programs require you to have atleast a B.A to teach at a school but is it possible to teach an Ekiwa then after awhile get a job at a school ?
@CMEM1 I have friends who are ALTs and don't have any teaching degrees or even a related B.A. Some of them worked a few months at eikaiwa, didn't like it, so quit and then joined an ALT recruiting company.
@milkjamjuice Oh wow that's interesting! dang could you even do it without a B.A and just like an Associates or do you need at least a B.A in something ?
@CMEM1 Probably not. In order to get a certificate of eligibility for the Humanities visa that enables you to be a teacher, the Japanese government usually stipulates that you have a four year degree.
Ask Miho what your foreign friend who was visiting from Canada said to her at Starbucks while you were working at AEON in order to convince her to eventually spend the rest of her waking... and sleeping hours of her life with the wonderful wizard of OZ!
The choices were a no brainer today. After your bucket list we all know your top 10 things you want to do in Japan is to eat all their animal wild and domestic.
That is one sexy white man...hahahahha. Yeah...OLDY wants to ask Miho "Which country does she finally wants to settle down in"? In Japan or abroad? regards ~ OLDY.
Ur white subers probably r hating on u cuz u md fun of "white people". I was laughing my ass off!!!!!! Hahahaha I'm kind of interested in the all sub contractors you were tlking about mayb I can get a sponsor to teach white mans language in Japan mgs me back company's the sponsors that hire people to teach English in Japan! Maybe we can hook and be buddies teaching white mans language in JP!!!!!!
Thanks! The Pros and Cons are awesome and very useful! Which one do you prefer overall?
By the looks of the ratios of thumbs up, looks like we'll be meeting Miho tomorrow =) Yay! What is her favorite/most interesting word in the English language? How did you two meet? What was her first impression of you when she met you?
=D Thanks for doing these, they're really entertaining! By the way, youtube was being mean, and I was just wondering if you ever got my video response to the Bucket list?
It would be interesting to hear Miho tell us one thing she thinks is great about Oz and one thing she thinks is.....not so great! I have a feeling she's the tsukkomi in this relationship, so that might be interesting.
Talking to Miho. She is Japanese. She is my wife. She has never done a YouTube video. Wanna meet her? Well thumb this up and leave questions so she has something to talk about!
