  • I saw these guys live when this album came out. Tom can play much more than just the pretty little melodys he is known for. On top of being a great guitar player Tom is a great song writer and an electrical genius. Like him or not Tom Scholz is one of the most talented people in the Music Industry.

  • Boston and Meatloaf. Best fucking bands ever.

  • 99 dislikes?? Boston has a great original sound with lyrics like no other band!! They are one of the best and thats that!!

  • Arena gods !! Still rock it in my car and home

  • Ah man! You mean no auto tune or lypsync? Holy smoking aces man! What gives? Like whoaa!

  • I freaking love this song so much! And I love Tom Scholz!

  • lol the bass player is my dude hes always in a zone

  • 99 people had no clue how artistic Tom Scholz is.

  • I have a question, Van Halen is coming to town, but it,s not the original Van Halen. I think i would want to go see a concert if the original band members were united. I am not sure if that is a good determination, but i would u feel about that. I would rather listen to Boston on my mp3 player while walking to catch the bus in the snow then hear teenager play bass with van halen

  • @22893jared hey man that is eddie van halens son and he does kick ass and they got david lee roth back! dont miss it

  • You've got good taste in music TOMIT2112!! Boston and Rush!!!NICE:))

  • These. Guys. Rock.

  • Legends

  • Funzzer123 YEP NOW I KNOW IM GETTING OLD WHEN I LOOK IN THE MIRROR BUT HEY I STILL FEEL. LIKE. IM 17 yrs. OLD MAKE. THE. BEST. OF. WHAT. YOU. HAOVE. AND. HAVE. FUN AT. WHAT. EVER. YOU. DO

  • " drummer power comes from the Fro ! "

  • THE BANDS. BACK. THEN. COULD. PLAY. NO. STUDIO. FIX THEY KNEW WHAT THEY WERE DOING

  • @Jackupnow yeah i know i was born to a shitty generation

  • Wish we had music like this now!

  • This is what rock and roll is suppose to be!

  • One of the best bands of our time

  • one of the GREATEST bands ever. Amazing guitar and vocals.

  • This is one of the better boston songs I heard. Rest In Peace Brad.

  • ...Mr Robert Plant himself enjoying some good American Rock and Roll at 2:11

  • THE SLAM DUNK OF ROCK! How can anybody listen and watch this performance and not think, even for a moment, they can conquer the world? RIP Brad. Your inspiration lives on! Thanks for the gift, man.

  • @JosephBradleyBlair Exactly the way I feel!

  • 95 people have no taste

  • How does this have any dislikes.... I'm practically an infant compared to most boston fans, but I know my generation's music is absolution tripe.

  • RIP Brad :( It's ironic that he killed himself because of depression while I suffer the same issue and HAVE dwelt on suicide lately but this song picked me up :)........"The sun is shining, and I will be STRONG, don't look back"

  • Boston,

    clsssic pop is good feeling.

  • well besides Rush

  • dont ever forget the boston the best band of the 70s

  • It's december here in Oklahoma but I'll throw horseshoes in a goddamn blizzard

  • @TOMIT2112 fuck yes! I know exactly what you you mean!

  • I know it's December but this shit makes me wanna fire up the grill, crack open an ice cold one, and throw some horseshoes....PARTY AT MY HOUSE

  • @TOMIT2112 ironic you said that, since the lead singer killed himself by lighting a charcoal grill and dying of carbon monoxide poisoning.

  • It's too bad Brad Delp died. H e was the heart and soul of the band.

  • 95 people looked back

  • 93 people are tone death.

  • awsum song

  • I bought this LP the day it came out back in 1978. Also bought Van Halen II the day it came out in 1979. Music used to mean something back in the old days!

  • There is a reason many cover bands don't go anywhere near Boston. The proof is right here. Vocals that soar to the sky.

  • Just where this song is starting to wind up and climax...the video ends. What a let down. :( LOOOOOVE this song and video so much though.

  • Thats awesome for live it sounds like the original!!!

  • Best part is from 0-4:06

  • If I found a time machine I'd first go back to this time and this concert... sit in the front row with a cool Boston t-shirt and rock out with my 70s friends in their excellent 70s haircuts. I'm not kidding! This rules!

  • Every time I hear this on the car stereo I somehow seem to speed up a whole lot. I've gotten so many speeding tickets from this song it ain't even funny LOL. Thanks Brad and the boys.

  • my dad played them so much when i was growing up, now i think i like them more then he does

  • coaster cmon there are some great guitarists out there. try manowar if you like good guitar play

  • De las mejores bandas

  • Can you say REAL MUSIC!!!!I didnt think So

  • Brad Delp Sweet Voice!

  • This song has serious meaning for those in need of a lift...

  • where is Scholz?

  • Brad wasmt one of the greats he was the great

  • I agree! Brad was one of the greats!

  • I remember rockin' to this song when it first came out in 1978. Has it really been 33 years already? Where did the time and all the good music go?

And what is this ghetto crap they play now that sounds like some moron with a mouth full of marbles beating on a tom tom?

  • I scored the vinyl album this was the lead song on at a thrift store, best $2.00 I ever spent

  • OMG! Timeless but I've always loved Boston, one of the best rock songs and groups EVER! the music is a masterpiece the lead guitar, the drums, the way the song is played, then again the majority of their music is pure AWESOMENESS no doubt, it sure brings back some memories.

  • How great is that freaking song!

  • no one comes close to duplicate them all original matt

  • Kicks ass!!!!!! even now!!!!!

  • no, the drummer has the most awesome hair! just like I had

  • The best of Boston and of the 70's and 80's.

  • @TinTech1 Sheesh, what a dip. And what exactly is a "wesite"?

  • The drummer has awesome hair!

  • My favorite band ever awesome vocals. Great guitar work not many if any can Top Boston

  • Boston. Journey y Foreigner las mejores bandas de AOR, de ahi le siguen TOTO, Survivor, etc, etc, etc.

  • Each time I hear a Boston song its as fresh as the first time - These guys were a smokin' - saw them in 78 at the Forum in Los Angeles - Sammy Hagar opened

Peace of Mind is a mantra of mine

  • Boston totally had their own unique sound. No band could compare to their sound. Great band! Wish they had made more albums. Their harmony was awesome!

  • #occupyBoston Lets make lobbyist bribes illegal, and don't look back. What else could be fixed if politicians were in it for the people, and didn't sell out?

  • Wow. The audience is acting so civilized everyone else can actually enjoy the show!

  • Shit, even the audience is lip-syncing. Great band, epic faggotry.

  • I still drink that dirty water.

  • 3:07 to 3:40 is one of the greatest guitar, if not, the greatest guitar solo in all music. RIP Brad Delp. No one can ever replace you.

  • @coasterfan321 you do know Tom Scholtz is the guitarist for boston right? and hes still alive. btw dont get all pissy and be stupid cause your comment is unlcear of what your saying

  • @44jackolantern Well first of all I know that. I was also commenting on the beautiful voice that Brad Delp gave rock. Tom Scholtz is a great guitarist. Boston is a great band overall. Sorry for your misunderstanding.

  • @coasterfan321 It's not a solo, in the traditional sense, per se. That's the songs most memorable RIFF repeated a few times. It's also my favorite riff of all time and it gets me off like nothing else can when I play it over and over again on my ax. That riff totally destroys. It's so fucking euphoric. It's very PROCLAMATORY, as well. Extremely dramatic sounding. It stakes it aural turf something fierce. It like an eagle soaring & spreading its massive wingspan. I'm glad to see you point it out

  • @coasterfan321 These guys were the shit, Brads lead vocals, and the great guitar of Sholtzy, what a super band

  • @coasterfan321 you clearly haven't listened to any other bands or guitarists then

  • @coasterfan321 meh i know a lot of metal songs that have better guitar than that.

  • @coasterfan321 It's in my top 5 for sure along with Dio's Holy Diver and Comfortably Numb :)

  • the drumer has a nice fro and the singer has a epic mustace

  • im 13 at the moment and i remember when i was 10 whenever i would read a hitchiker's guide to the galaxy (my favorite book) i would listen to this because it added to the positive, comedic feel of the book

i love music that produces moods

Boston, Led Zeppelin, Voivod, Pink Floyd....

  • @666fuckoffandie Ha Ha! Cool!

  • The main riff is one of the best lead lines ever written. LOVE IT!!

  • Can the 93 dislikers please remove the cock from your mouth. It's affecting your hearing.

  • It would have been nice to actually hear a 'live' performance instead of the lip sync'd version. I know Scholz was an ass about perfection but that's what a live performance is all about, IMPROVISATION. Studio Band

  • Music of you young youth. Most music today is crap compared to the music back then. No lip sync, and they sounded exactly like their recorded albums.

  • @Cowboys102966 I would not say that, this is not a live preformance this was a recording. Many people considered Boston to be a studio band. I love Boston and saw them live but they didn't sound the same. However, many other bands sounded exactly like their albums and I agree that today's music is absolutely horrible overall.

  • Is this audio really live? They're so tight.

  • @oxykotor no. its a music video,, so they synced live footage with the studio recording

  • Brad was so fucking good...RIP

  • This music may well have changed my DNA....

  • Sib Hashian - BEST afro on a rocker ever!! Neal Schon in the mid 70's comes 2nd... lol!

  • driving by Route 1 in Massachussetts there's a rock with a painting of Brad's face and his name saying "R.I.P." and all that stuff...in Boston, nobody really deserves that spot on that huge rock more than he does.

  • holy fuck the bassline.

  • What an AMAZING piece of footage! Thank you for posting!

(PS. I still wanna like Tom's smile!)

  • my favorite person in this video is the gal in the front row of the audience at :49.

  • dam look at brads pussy tickler that things awesome itself

  • That was an excellent rock band

  • I want Sib's hair!!!

  • I like the bass player myself----groovin with the music.

  • To bad they had a track playing instead of Brad singing here

  • @jbarnes1960 it's not a track, there are TWO singers

  • @tune120172 That is BS. It is an exact match of the album especially the guitars

  • This band rocked, I used to play this whenever I needed to fire up

  • SIMPLY TIMELESS!!!

  • OMG! Great memories!

  • Could be 1p for all I care, I don't listen with my eyes. Rock&Roll!

  • 240p... we meet again....

  • @PocaWolfenstein7 I said that myself but it's actually a great clarity for 240.

  • @WavyGravyTrain1 and sound quality. usually 240p makes it really tinny

  • @PocaWolfenstein7 I agree it does but for most 240's its one of the few that looks good

  • masters at harmonizing

  • Thank you Brad

  • so much lost, rip brother...peace

  • Rest In Peace Brad Delp! You were one of the best fucking lead singers EVER! Thank you for blessing us with your songs and voice!

  • These guys are the ultimate KICK ASS band ! !

  • 93 idiots are looking back... uuuuh BOSTON best rock band evar!!!

  • @PSNJunior3000 Ohh you're soooo right

  • if u love AOR music like this check WORK OF ART THE GREAT FALL

  • That's my kind of Hair Band!

  • I am so glad I saw these guys in concert in the early 80s. I remember in 2007, the year Brad took his life, the band had a 40 city amphitheatre tour in the works. It would have been so cool. RIP Brad Delp.

  • This was the Second Rock-N-Roll album that I ever bought after the first one More Than a Feeling.

  • Did Tom ever stop smiling through the whole video?

  • music that drove black people to rap

  • Thats a pretty sick jump suit Tom is wearing... man... wish i experienced the 70's... and 80's haha... We miss ya Brad!

  • For my money these guys are one of the purest rock bands out there.

  • @vagabond197979 totally they changed rock for the better

  • Although I agree that they look pretty ridiculous, these guys got more ass than a toilet seat and probably still do

  • Oh yeah Sib Hashian had an awesome fro going!! He all but disappeared after the Don't Look Back album came out..

  • EXCELENTE.

  • The bass player with his funky grooves is hilarious LMAO

  • Hey folks just to let you know , you dont have to post "Ashame todays music" , this kind of music is alive and well... I was at a Bob Seger concert in May , it was sold out , I was at a Eagles tour it was sold out , I was at a Headeast concert it was also sold out... People just want new old school bands , but its a oxymoron if they were new they wouldnt be old school !

  • Damn it, why can't someone post a real live version of this from the late 70's?

  • fantastico!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • This song goes right through me when i drivin' 2nd fav Boston tune. thanks

  • Rock-n-roll will never die!Its not even sick.-Alice Cooper.

  • if u love this music check WORK OF ART THE GREAT FALL

  • ....Tom looks like he is getting the cold shoulder throughout the song from Brad!

  • Lip sinc.

  • it never get old....thanks Boston!

  • wow... old people could go to concerts o. o...

  • 93 people looked back

  • fuck those 93 justin gaybier fans ah!!! fucking hate them!!!

  • Looks like 93 people looked back....

  • Miss you Brad.......Boston rocks......STILL. Never gets old!!

  • Omfg coolest opening ever

  • I think he's smiling at me.

  • they were the fuckin masters of the universe back then and thier music never gets old

  • At 3:08 the Bass Player cracks me up with getting his funky groove on :-)

  • Classic..Rest In Peace Brad!!

  • Brad Delp can truly never be replaced. but i would kill anyone to see boston play live. Boston needs a Brian johnson to come out of the wordwork and sweep the band back together.

  • we miss..the music ...the rock world misses brad...rip

  • As Zep I was to England, this was arguably the greatest debut of any American rock and roll band.

  • sib hashian may very well be the greatest white afro equipped drummer ever. LOL

  • I think the lead guitarist for Linkin Park tried to bring that drummers fro back a couple of years ago.

  • definitely true classic rock

  • 93 people are apparently deaf, sorry for them...

  • @1:32 hut two, three, four...

  • maaannnn... old people could go to concerts?! and not be injured!! O:!

  • R.I.P Brad Delp 1951-2007.

you were such an inspiration to me and to everyone else. you and Boston really stuck out to me. all of your songs have profound meanings to me. especially Don't Look Back.

man, you were amazing, one of my idols. i just wish you hadn't committed suicide, you didnt desereve to die that way.

    ...

you may not have thought you were important to other people, but you were someone important to me.

take care man, i'll see you when it's my time.

    i love you ♥

  • truly a band that had a sound like none other before them. ground-breaking music.

  • @midatlanticcycle.....or since. never will there be another band like Boston.

  • My dad used to have a white guy fro like that drummer when he was in high school. Why the hell couldn't I inherit that?

  • Check out Neal Schon's afro in Journey's Wheel In The Sky video, from this same year, he's got this guy beat.

  • @screamingcockatoo: yes.. if they're vintage, gated, and compressed into the stratosphere. Tom pretty much invented guitar compression. That's when you squish/cram an arena size volume/sustain into a club/room size rig. Everyone still copies this model. @mandingo9999998: Wouldn't doubt it. Tom was a total control freak. Took them YEARS to make a record. Most today are done in a couple o months

  • @ledcurrent It took them years cause They perfected every song, Delp would make multiple recordings and choose the one he liked best, Tom loved to play with the instrumental sounds, thats why Boston has such a unique sound, if you listen to most bands from the 70s and 80s the only way you can tell the difference most of the time is through the singer or playing style, but with Boston you can just by the first guitar riff in every single one of their songs.
