I am a young student of Islam and i often notice that people call non muslims kufffar and kafir, for those who learn quran the word kafir isnt just a non believer but it was used against those who dont ever want to be a muslim so dont just call everyone a kafir because they dont always know everything thus we need to make our religion welcoming and peaceful. @naafiajannah You need to learn your basics ! Read the books of Tawheed. The scholars of Islam and the salaf us salih have always given the meaning I have given you initially. When you translate that there is no god, then this is incorrect as there are other gods besides Allah and Allah affirms this all over the Qur'an and His Messenger in the Sunnah. But all these gods don't deserve worship except Allah.

masha'allah brother :) what i love about converts is that they want to follow the prophet (pbuh) exactly,unlike already muslims,they don't understand the importance of this & they consider it a minor thing! however brother,start with the basics,say ur shahada ,no need to delay it if u already accept islam including these details,say it before it's too late (god forbade),unless u still want to be sure of other things before u convert.wish u all the best.may Allah be with u.

that's all i know about this issue,but i advise u to ask some sheikhs and people of knowledge if u want to be more sure. i, as amuslim living in jordan,see people wearing it & others not.my dad & uncle have a beard & they pray at the mosque & all,but they don't wear a cap all the time,only sometimes..

at the end of the day,there is a great tolerance in islam when it comes to clothes,alhamdulelah. i hope i didn't distort u with my answers!!

plus, i guess it's not even necessary to wear it when going to mosque,it's ok if u went to the mosque without it.& it's also ok if u decided to wear it every where.i saw some sheikhs not wearing a cap. but many others do wear it. eventually, it all depends on ur intention.if u wish to wear it to show ur muslim character,& be different from non muslims,it's a good thing that the prophet (pbuh) always told us to do.

hmm..to be honest,i never thought about that before.& i searched the web 4 the best answer,& i found a vast variation in opinion between scholars.first the prophet (pbuh) wore sth called (amama),not like the muslim cap,but more like the old arabian man head cover.some scholars say u need to wear it 4 it's a sunna, others say it's not exactly necessary coz there is no clear evidence that there is thawab (reward) that comes from that. ..
