I was 17 in 1969 and fortunate enough to have lived though that time. It saddens me today that so many could actually buy into the hoax idea. Its a sad testament to the power of the media and internet today as a propaganda tool. It just shows how easily a hand full of people can start something as far fetched as this and manipulate peoples thoughts and ideas. To me this a very scary thought, what else could people be convinced of or to do in this same way?

@keithstrat I'm trying to get an answer how the astronauts died, can you tell me? Were they left to die in space, the ocean or did the spacecraft explode on land in space? I keep getting stupid answers! I wasn't born so I don't know the story.

To me landing on the moon is a very frightening prospect. Up in the sky it looks so very far outside the influence of man but it isn't. We can fly into the void, calmly cross it, and leave our boot prints on world man was never intended live on. The moon is a place "that only the gods may touch" if you will and it's perfectly reasonable to me that people, not unduly afraid of man's technological prowess, would try to prove that landing on the moon cannot be done.

@jsilence418 If my profile says I was 50 in 2008 then It’s a mistake and needs to be changed, I haven’t looked at my profile in a long time. However let me assure you I do know my age! It would be very easy to prove both (my age and the moon landing) but I’m also old enough to know that the “conspiracy” enthusiast will never accept proof or facts even if they held that proof in their own hands. Your initialed to believe whatever you want that.

@keithstrat What are your thoughts on the Kennedy Assignation? Was our Government honest with us? Look at the lies of Viet Nam! Anyone challenging that war was labeled un American. The French tried to warn us but, I guess those warnings were just "propaganda"? By 1969 there were a lot of Americans wondering about the legitimacy of our actions. Many patriots were disillusioned.. Can you really blame the internet? Let the truth be known, MAY THE TRUTH SET US ALL FREE.

The 40th anniversary had been a great week. Following the real-time audio, the video clips, and a transcript has brought back wonderful memories. Really not sure why people would want to reveal their ignorance by saying they think it was a hoax. These guys were real heroes at a time the world needed them.

you know by saying America didn't land on the moon your saying that Australia and the Russian government lied Australia provided the images received from the moon (Australians where the first to see the moon landings 40 seconds before the Americans) and the Russian government agreed that the Americans landed on the moon. Also most of the theories have been debunked
