  • Very helpful!

  • Mine still needs to render, how do i stop this, please help!

  • @DoeDoeStreet If you have to render it is because the clip and the timeline are not EXACTLY matched. Try dropping a single clip into a fresh blank timeline. FCP will set the timeline to match the clips specs. NOW, copy your OTHER timeline in its entirety and paste it into the new timeline that has the correct setting. THAT should do it.

  • HEy Man thanks so much. Very well done and helped me out a ton!

  • Hey man, this was great! Well Done and thanks so much for sharing that. Helped a ton!

  • Any idea on how to import clips that were shot at 60fps while having the plugin do the conforming to whatever the timeline frame rate is (say 60fps-24fps) I feel it unnecessary to import the video onto my computer just to have to conform it then load it into FCP and then yet again have to render my file. Any idea on how to get around this? Even if I could just have the plugin conform my clip instead of converting it to 60fps@30fps would be great.

  • I was having a hard time editing my work on FCP, but this tutorial of yours is supper great help. Thanks for sharing the video.

  • Hey Chris when I download the disk it doesn't lead me to anything it jus says already installed, where do i find it, it should pop up on the desktop right?? none whatsoever. need help please

  • What do you set up your Final cut pro project settings at then AKA your sequence settings. Also what do you export as to get the highest quality.

  • i have fcp7 when i imported the file straight from my canon t2i it is a h264 but i did not have 2 render on my timeline ....when i changed the file to pro res 422 LT and put it on my time line it has to be rendered for me to start to edit play

  • Hey, thanks for the video. It helped me a lot. I have one question though. If I do a archive to disk image in the plugin ant then transcode the clips to say prores. Can i after that rename the image it self without having any problem? The thing is that I now have say 40 images in my backup folder project with the same name. I have put then in separate folders with separate names, but when I mount say 5-10 images they all have the same name in Finder.

  • if I already copied the mov files onto my harddrive and deleted them off the card, how do i still convert them?

  • Hi

Thank you. This is very helpful.

However, even though the files go into the correct bin in FCP, the actual files in Capture Scratch are still sent to a folder created by FCP which isn't the folder I'd like it to be sent to. Any ideas on how to make sure I can have my own file structure in Capture Scratch as well?

  • Thank you so much for your generous tutorial !! Peace.

  • Thank you!

  • Nice Video but i think it need more effects.. you can get nice video effects plugins and addons from aries-films file section. Just google for Aries-Films man.. pc

  • Standardizing on a pro rez codec for all your work is a good thing. We mix and match theses cams with the Pannie AG-HMC150 and AG-HMC40 with good results. The key is as the author suggests file management and video format standards. Good Job!

  • This is great! Thanks so much mow I know why it wasn't working for me, I need all the folders right from the card.

  • glad I could help out... its a pretty good utility... i just wish there were more output options... Prores is not always the best thing to work in.

  • Great job, this made things so much clearer!
