  • you get the feeling they're always on the verge of making out....

not that there's anything wrong with that.

  • 00:42 - kissy kissy

  • @susancist lolol

  • what do they say in the end?

  • shame he said soldier boys instead of soldier lads

  • Heroes

  • Pete's flying some kites here

  • I feel it's such a shame that poetry is such a lost art form.

  • @billybigballsBIG

you don't know pete so you can't actually say he hasn't got a personality and why do people think drug addicts have a bad personality! if he was really such a bad person like all those journalists think (and some other stupid people too) why would people even hang out with him and say Good stuff about him.. why would Carl forgive Pete for stealing stuff from him if he was that bad of a person!!

I Do like the poem even though I don't always understand it.

  • @LikeASugarPlumFairy

totaly agreed with you, drug problems are problems, if someone had family problems you wouldnt judge them by that would you? hes inspiring and has a vision of the world wich alot of us share and relate to and hes able to describe it through music and absolutely (in my opion) the best lyrics ever. he may not of wrote tht poem but saying it as an acceptance speech just proves exactly what kind of man he is. and its about not seeing behind closed doors and pryin ure blind trth

  • Pete always says 'cramps' instead of 'crumps'. Kinda ruins it a bit cos it aint just a slip of the tongue; he always does it!

  • when they say the last line its really lovely

  • "I knew a simple soldier boy..... Who grinned at life in empty joy, Slept soundly through the lonesome dark, And whistled early with the lark. In winter trenches, cowed and glum, With crumps and lice and lack of rum, He put a bullet through his brain. And no one spoke of him again. You smug-faced crowds with kindling eye Who cheer when soldier lads march by, Sneak home and pray you'll never know THE HELL WHERE YOUTH AND LAUGHTER GO."
  • Perfection.

  • wow. I really, really like that poem. Especially the last part...

  • @enoonevoli It's by Siegfried Sassoon, in case you didn't know. Also check out Wilfred Owens poetry, I actually think it's better.

  • Yep, I found it! Thanks for the advice, I'll check him out =]
