I wonder if it was a Drone. I am a native of Abilene Texas. But i live in Marietta Ga. They have Drones flying around here. I wonder if that's what that was.
Yesterday nite at 830 feb 11 there wuz a glowing steady orange light with light flickering it stayed there right above military drive towards west...???
With the wider view, it looked like the flasheing lights of airplanes. Then you added that it stopped a hovered then helicopter came to mind. I think, just my opinion that it was a group of helicopters maybe, testing flying at night?
My fiance was in sweetwater today. Right after church at his parents house he was outside smoking a cigg an he snapped a photo of a UFO. I saw it I asked him about it . He said He had this feeling it was the same SOBs that he saw in his sons room 2 years ago.
IN 1991 I WORKED IN ABILENE,TX. I STAYED ABOUT 1/4 MILE FROM DYESS AFB. I SAW SOMETHING IN THE SKY. IT HAD 3 LIGHTS, SOUNDLESS AND MADE A LIGHTNING FAST RIGHT ANGLE TURN OVER THE CLOUDS. IN LIKE 10 MINUTES I COULD HEAR WHAT SOUNDED LIKE EVERY JET DYESS HAD TAKING OFF LIKE THEY WERE LOOKING FOR IT. IT WAS AWESOME. I WISHED IT WOULD'VE COME AROUND AGAIN TO SEE IT AGAIN BUT STORM CLOUDS MOVED IN AND COVERED THE WHOLE SKY LATER THAT NIGHT.
Yeah my dad and I saw lights like that too..Him being retired air force tried to pass them off as a plane but sat and told me that he's never seen lights like that on any plane he's seen.
saw some strange lights tonight over Abilene ..or south of Abilene towards Tuscola ..watched it for about an hour from like 620pm - a little after 7pm, saw them last night and the night before too ..go out there tomorrow ..who knows if these weird orange lights will show up a 4th day in a row ..worth a shot
@ dnohl75 - I would agree with you except for one small factor... The airport is in the foreground and the light activity is taking place to the southwest over by Caps where there is no airport. We had a clear and unobstructed view from the east looking west. It was not helicopters nor airplanes.
And also in the video it talks about the B1 but there is a normal airport in Abilene too, and all kinds of planes and helicopters fly there, i've seen a pack of 8 helicopters flying which could easily explain the lights. Not trying to bash this video, I'm just telling the facts.
All those red lights at the bottom are the wind turbines and the the red and white ones are the planes about to land or taking off from the airport. As for the Gold lights I don't know. I live in Abilene. I used to live right next to the airport, its very common to see these lights at night.
This is the footage ktab showed, It is officialy listed as a "U.F.O"...I have seen things like this myself and ther was a large craft spotted and recorded over Stephanville Texas.It had a light pattern, they figured it to be at least half a mile in diameter, and was running silent.I am not making this up, You can view the videos on you tube and its in the papers archives.The government/military had 8 fighters out that night following it over civilian airspace, AND DENIED ALL KNOWLEDGE.

That is the X47B same shape and everything. Hard to detect. The Millitary is testing them. The FCC have approved for them to fly in our airspace.

We saw them again two weeks later about 100 miles north of Abilene near Highway 277.
