@hi1itsme i fail to believe a pair of 5.5" woofers can shake a whole house with three floors...letalone a single room lol...lets see it in action.

@EthantheBASSboy He may mean that his house is a trailer with 3 rooms, and each room has a floor... that would justify the "3 floors" comment. in any event, i think jumping would shake a house like that without the need for speakers.

If that box is sealed except for those two holes then it will be performing almost like an open baffle except those holes will act as ports, but at some really weird frequency, and those drivers will be unloading. If you seal it up or port it (which you probably have) it will handle much more power

It's not a Peerless but a "noname" speaker from Part Express (part number 299-114).

@SoJuRoPi the part number of this speaker at Parts-Express is 299-063 (now sold Out) so these are not the same as the 299-114 Woofer.

those are some huge ports for that small of a woofer. especially with that kinda excursion

@DubniumDb the woofer is just on a baffle..really its running free air here...since this is a two way speaker that was being constructed one hole was for a port the other for a tweeter.

@grahamrees87 i suppose it is for a Mid-Woofer....they do have 6.5"s that handle alot more power but these can get pretty loud and they sound good but even better if you high pass them and keep the low bass away from them even though they reproduce it fairly well.

@aswer6 no enclosure....currently thats just a baffle...have yet to finnish the rest of the enclosure.
