  • What if you drop a handfull of metal powder in between those two magnets? Would like the half of it just levitate and stay there like little hovering particles? If so im gonna get one for sure :D You ever tried?

  • how can i do this? Can anyone please tell me??

  • @uknownhakr me too

  • that is sick dude where did u get it?

  • where did u gE3t the that theybhovered in?

  • dude that is so cool. :-) awesum.

  • very cool toys

  • me too! i think

  • lol not going to lie but i have that same chess set

  • hah me too, but mine broke.

  • me too lol mine's broken too

  • kew thtz AWESOME!snd me a pm tht tells me how 2 do it cuz i wna try it

  • There was a toy on Burger King (featuring Magneto from X-Men2) where Magneto using this method to "float"... I was too late to get that friggin toy...they sold out too darn fast!!! and ya.. that toy is as wicked cool as this!!!

  • i wish i could see the flow of electrons

  • there is a floating alarm clock one on ebay.

  • if you could do that with a magnet that you dont have to plug in than couldnt you generate electricity without putting in energy?

  • this isnt limitless energy

eventually the air resistance will overcome

the rotation and it will stop

  • If you spin the levitating pieces, does it go on indefinitely, or perpetually?

I am trying to see if this would create a perpetual motion machine.

  • No: the air resistance will slow the spinning piece down.

Theoretically, however, if you did it in a perfect vacuum then the spin would indeed go on forever, as there would be no resisting force.

It wouldn't be "perpetual motion" though: merely an example of the existing laws of physics.

  • I've done much testing, chriseurosong... unfortunately even in a vacuum the magnets stop spinning. The reason is that the magnets have imperfections in them and they eventually find equalibrium in their respective magnetic fields. The imperfections are inevitable. The strongest field of one magnet attracts the opposite strongest field of the other magnet and eventually - actually quite quickly, the spin stops. Look at my video to see one example and my comments explaining what happened.

  • Now that is cool i have wanted on of these for ages!

    Soo cool!!!!

  • Standing too much time close to electro magnetic currents can damage your DNA Cells

  • How could that damage your dna cells and what could that do to you?

  • its like a gamma ray efect

  • while magnets area form of gamma rays i font think they are powerful enough to do that kind of dame

  • HOW COOL IS THAT !!!!!!!!!!

  • how do you do that!?!?!?!?!?

  • where u get it

  • Where did you get it? How Much???? cool!

  • Where did you get it? How Much?

  • really cool dude.

    how did you do it???

oh and nxt time, dont record the dam video nxt the micrwave genious

  • Oh I see how that could be mistaken. It wasn't a microwave that you hear, its a floor heater that is on 4 ft away, and the beep is a missed call from my cell phone.

  • i'd be really impressed if he levitated the magnetic pyramid :D

  • MAGNETS RULE!

  • dude do u know u are generating free eletricity???

build like me another kind more useful and put it in your house like I did and make your own power!!

  • 0_o ??? This uses way more electricity than it can produce. Idk what you have that you are getting power from but I don't think it's the same thing.

  • the basement has the same pole of the lower side of the flying object, so it push.

The same for the upper side of the system.

    Two forces against each others.

  • paramagnet and diamagnet

  • Thats the same Glass Chess Board i have. Nice Super Conductivity

  • cool, I made some home made ones

  • wow how does it work?

  • It Has To Do With Magnetic Pulls.

  • The general principle is straight forward: An electromagnet pulls a magnet upward while a magnetic field detector measures the exact position of the magnet. The magnet's lifting force is adjusted according to position.

  • It's more likely to be a photocell with a infraread beam than a magnetic field detector..

  • both sides have negative charges, therepull they pull equally at each end

  • gotta love physics
