surprisingly good movie, except for one thing, adam's character. she gets a business op from a married guy she's sleeping with, then flakes out and loses the business and daddy comes to the rescue.

adam's better watch out. she's becoming a weak-woman icon. i liked blunt's character a lot more.

I watched it today, it was very good considering the low profile cast. The opening takes you by surprise, the cast does a great job. It is sad and moving at times, but very funny as well. The fact that the character by Adams tries to make the best of bad circunstances and creates emotional situations that involve others is very moving. her character's relationship with her sister is very complicated, but very movingly depicted. The grandpa & the kid are excellent too. Over all is a good choice.

the song at the very beginning sounds distinctly like 'Clockwise Witness' by Devotchka just before the opening gets faster. It's not the exact same version though, but has the same tempo and sound to it.

Devotchka also appeared on little miss sunshine soundtrack, produced by the same company. Sounds cool.

This was partly filmed on my street here in Albuquerque, New Mexico. The part with the old lady in front of the brick house is right next door to me. I wonder if my green 2003 Dodge made in into the film? I hid in doors and watched some of the filming..guys hide in bushes with shot gun microphones and such as the van drove by them.
