Play it very slowly and gradually increases the speed. This is the advice for every solos ;)

master of puppets by metallica is a good solo, and it it's easier than it looks, it will also improve your technique so you will be able to play harder solos, and one day, this one.

@Biwlll Yeah man, and practice doing scales from the lowest to highest, and vise versa, I know how you feel, I almost wanted to give up a lot on solo scales, but once you get em it feels awesome, once you get used to the finger stretch your hands just kinda automatically do what you're thinking haha.

Is the neck pickup worth it? I am thinking of getting one cus I want a neck pickup but there is no tone knob so it ruins it kinda. Have you ever used the neck pickup in Drop C? I thought when you use a neck pickup you drop the tone aswell for the affect

oh okay. Alexi uses his bridge pickup for his solos but I think like slipknot and stuff use their neck pickups a bit. My only concearn is there is no tone knob so you can't get that real muddy effect

The only way you can get better is by practice. Practice, practice! Be willing to ditch old techniques for new and better ones. It looks like you've only been playing for about 7-8 months. If you keep practicing, jamming with a band and stuff, by 1-2 years, you should be pretty decent. Keep it up!

That was sweet except for a few parts.

You should watch Alexi play this at like Chaos RIdden Years and see what he does. He plays the first solo differently, The part at 2:48 isn't played that high (like near the 3rd fret) and it also has palm muted bits so listen to the cd to get them right. I liked what you did with the harmony riff (1:04)though. Almost like doing both alexi and roopes parts. Also the opening riff (0:22) you did that aswell but they don't go that high for the last part.
