Here in Ohio 8 lb. test. light 10 foot panfish rod. Put on small treble hook no weight. ad canned whole kernal corn on treble hook. cast out 30 feet. throw hand full of corn where bait landed. catch one after another. small yellow fly on flyrod also works. soak fly in corn juice. get 20 & 30 lb. this way all time.
