May I ask you a question:

Instead of shade palapas, Barcelo tends to use palm trees for shade.

Did you find this annoying? IE, are palm trees sufficient for providing shade?

@aspiceno Thanks for the nice comments. Yes, we felt there was sufficient shade from the trees on the beach. Due to the size of the beach, resort & potential number of guests.....there would never be enough palapas. There were several HUGE pools and they all offered lots of shaded area (that's were we spent most of our time). Have fun!

@fellagear We had planned to set up some excursions once we arrived.....but there was so much to do and enjoy at the resort we never left! We didn't rent the jet skis, so I'm not sure of price. There are 5 hotels within the resort complex. Colonial & Tropical are VERY good....the Palace is the best (5 Star). That is where we stayed and I think this was our color wristband for that reason (each hotel has a different color).

This was a very helpful video very well made! We stayed in a villa near this resort in june 2010 and we LOVED it!!!!!

@XKLUSIF - Yes, we had a small refrigerator in our room that had cans of beer. I was able to get a drink anytime I wanted..... but to be honest, I was never out REALLY late and didn't attempt to get a drink at 3 AM :-)

As far as I know it was 24 hours.

@ElleandTito The food was very good. We usually went to one of the main buffet restaurants for breakfast and lunch. Never had a bad meal there. PLENTY of different food choices. For dinner we went to a specialty/themed restaurant. We stayed for 5 nights and never had the same type of food twice (French, Brazilian, Caribbean, Asian and Mexican).

Judging from your other videos I'm sure the music you had originally chosen was good but thanks for putting something on in it's place - so much better than "silence"! : )
