It's a lovely bike! glad to see it's now in use! they were so expensive new, and that is why they are no longer made. now they are more expensive to buy and are a play thing. shame really.

My older brothers were into bikes, not me so much. In the '70's, they restored a 1954 Harley that was sort of found in boxes like this Vincent. It was a beauty, but one day outside a beach-side restaurant in Malibu where bikers used to hang out, we saw a Vincent parked alongside the Harleys and a couple of Nortons. My brothers froze at the sight of a Vincent and so I froze too. It was like they'd just seen Jesus. One of my childhood memories.

Nothing sounds like a vincent, but a vincent. My father owned these as a young man, then bought and restored them when they were un loved. I spent my childhood surrounded by vincent!, from the bit n pieces being worked on to the stories of his youth, RIP dad, you live on in these lovely memories that are vincent.

I like the shift pattern, lift up for first, the same as my Norton Atlas.

its realy funny the police found my wifes body in boxes in the freezer..sadly l didnt have a" black shadow" to escape on.

I had my shadow at 21 and still ride it today now 44 it still is a superb pose . It is quicker than my Harleys and handles a lot better too

@robbieroo21, How is your comment silly? I remember having a book on bikes as a kid & in it was a 63 black shadow, beautiful bike...I think its fantastic that the right people found this bike & treated it with the respect it deserved!

I have 2 brothers who ride & both say, old bits of crap, they leaked oil etc etc...I say they have class & besides where do they think modern bikes evolved from?! The old bikes have a class, feel & sound that modern bikes don't have, & its history! Cheers.

@anzac2404 Sorry to spiol your dream but Vincent ceased production in Dec. 1955. I admire your respect for the older bikes, at least they were repairable without having to replace major components, As an old Vincent owner and racer all I can say is "Yes they were the Rolls Royce of motor cycles" keep on loving them

@robbieroo21 lovely bike made by vincent hrd and lovely song - kind hearted woman.i love the blues genre as i find myself in it.The melancholy language and the spirit of blues is amazing and so is this bike.man whoever had posted this video made me emotional.When i look at this beauty(bike)i become emotional..i have no words to say.sometimes silence speaks a lot..................
