OK. Question. I have always heard Ice T was a crip. So Why was he always wearing red? and on the OG album the song midnight, he had a verse "some places red don't go, some places reds all they know. Not our luck tonight we are real fucked" Which says he is in a blue {crip} hood. and he is fucked because of it?
Much respect Ice, you were representing in your 20's, not something most of us older dudes can brag about....how did you always remain so positive....that's no joke.
Still can't over how Ice got paid by becoming Hollywood-mainstream and the rest of his Boyz Fell-Off into the unknown( Everlast was hittin for a minute:) They where Grreat Rappers, though v_v

hahahaha 4:20 and on is sooo funny not just cuz what hes talkin about but the shit hes wearing lmfao short shorts with some pulled up socks hahaha balla
Ice T is a legend one of the best ever to rock the mic
WOW...Its seens so long ago..But it feels like yesterday..There's so much more money in rap now...ICE T was showing off his PINTO..Hes homies were playing madden on an 27" tv..wow how thing have change..but they're still the same.
Where the hell is Nat The Cat??? Anyone have a link to the track "nat the cat" from their cassette and vinyl released around 1988-1990. hook me up! that damn beat has been in my head since then! bum buppa bum bom boom.
Everlast is the only dude who made something out of that "Syndicate" connection. The rest of them dudes are non-existent. Interestingly enough, once Everlast blew up, you never really heard him give props to Ice-T, nor vice-versa. Check Ice-T's "M.V.P's" on the "OG" cd, or "All My Love" from House of Pain's debut cd.
Yeah...I understand that. What I'm sayin' is, once Everlast blew up with House of Pain, he had a dedication join on HOP's debut cd, called "All My Love", in which he gives shout outs to those who he came up with, rolled with, whatever. He did not mention Ice-T. Nor did Ice-T mention Everlast on his dedication joint "M.V.P's", though he mentions Run-DMC, Latifah, and many others in the game. Just wondering if there was a falling out between the two.
yeah but donald D's albums were hard as hell....Donald d was heavily slept on......Do you think syndicate members used to write for ICE??? i always wondered that??
I was never impressed by Donald D.'s flow, nor any of the other Syndicate members, for that matter. Some of them could rap, but they didn't have "IT", except Ice and Everlast. I doubt anyone ghost wrote for Ice; he was a natural. All that rhymin' he did on "Breakin' was freestyle; straight off tha dome! Plus, he was versatile; from battlin', sex, partyin', gangsta, socially conscious...he covered the gamut.
Yeah maybe you're right...rhyme pays, ice berg, power, and OG were back to back classics...i liked Donald D though...i think he might have been better in a group...Everlast killed the flow on his first album on that syndicate soldier record
Maybe I closed the book on Donald D, prematurely. But I look at it like this, when I get into an artist / group, I think total package; their look, their message, talent. 2 questions;1.Will I be able to listen to at least 5 songs in a row by this dude, without smashing my cd / mp3 player? 2.Would I wanna see this dude in concert - solo i.e. w/o 4-5 other no-names on stage, waving towels, holding water bottles, and yelling jibber-jabber into their mics? Can't say I would for Donald D.:-)
Aiight, I checked the book notes of the O.G. cd cover, and Ice does list Everlast, in giving "Ultra Special thanks to the Rhyme Syndicate Mafia." I still think they had a falling out of some sort.
I think Ice's Flow was off the lid but the rest off the crew did their verses from the "Party"joint from the Freedom of speech album, and almost in the same order of appearance too, I wish they would show Dj Alladin cuttin it up.
I grew up listening to these dudes. I fucking love the Rhyme Syndicate. Ice T is one of my true heroes. The fact that he was in the Army and has anti-drug, anti-gang themes makes me have even more respect for Ice T.
"If I catch you stealin' one of my cars, I might shoot you." Priceless!!!!!
Think it's because the record deal Ice-T passed him was pretty week. So Everlast went another way and left the syndicate. And he is probably happy he did. I have no idea how many copies Forever Everlasting sold..probably not many..But i do know that after he left the syndicate he has sold millions of records.
