eventually, with experience, you begin to get the keyboard committed to muscle memory. I was the same way, and still find it easier to memorize, but now that I've been playing a bit longer, I can sightread and use music as well. Just takes practice.

very well done. maybe it's just me, but i like acoustic pianos better. they just give me a better response. i experimented with my friend's keyboard (very expensive one) for quite a long time. the sound just doesn't vibrate like my stand up piano does. and the touch response on the keyboard is too...too digital. that's just my feeling. very well done anyway. oh btw, how do you practise the triplets as far as the rythme goes?

On the subject of the keyboard/piano (a Yamaha CLP-170), I personally don't think that it's easier to play than an acoustic piano. I've played enough to know. The sound it produces is also great, although you cannot hear it in these videos as a result of my poor camera quality. Bear in mind the CLP-170's retail price is over £2000, and it's worth every penny.

If the keyboard keys are weighted exactly like a regular piano, and you can use the pedal, there's really no different. Except for the sound.

It doesn't really take 'more skill' to play regular piano.

Good job. I think that you need to put emotion into it though. You seem to be just trying to play it without not messing up and not on the feeling of the song. You don't always have to go beat by beat. Try a little fortepiano. Everything is the same level in volume. Keep it up though!
