the viola part for this mvmt rox!!! the musette is fun to play. the chordal progression is SOOOOO nais. :) the pizz in the middle was sort of a nice surprise to work with.

Well it seems that mostly all of the 1st violin music is hard!!! I like the 2nd violins though. I can't say enough about this piece!!!

I Love this peice the most of all the Grieg.

The 2nd violin outside part is the best and coolest part!!! I love taking over the melody!!!!

that's what i thought until i was moved to the first violin outside part. the divisi just before the musette is probably my favorite moment in the entire suite for any part.

Also my favorite ! I regard of Holberg's suite arrangement for strings as Grieg's best work - in the top five of all my collection. I also love his Piano concerto...

to me, this movement is like a dance. you know, like a waltz or something.

All movements are dances, except the first "prelude", because this is a Suite, " a collection of different dances" . All this dances are forms from the baroque period. (Sarabanda, Gavotte, Air, Rigaudon)
